New phone
So I broke my screen on my super crappy $60 Kyocera MetroPCS phone a while back, and just kinda lived with it for a while before starting to look for a new phone. I did some pretty in-depth research on smartphones and decided to go with the HTC Touch Pro 2...However it's a $600 phone and I didn't feel like paying that much obviously, so I lurked on craigslist for a week or two looking for a CDMA Sprint or Verizon version of the phone for sale (also did alot of research on flashing these phones over to Metro from Howardforums, for those of you familiar). Picked one up for $360, spent about 4 hours "hacking" the phone, reverting drivers, changing prl's, and various info to get it ready to be MetroFlashed. Took it to 5 different retailers trying to get it flashed, none of them knew how to do it
/facepalm Finally, 6th one is the charm, got it switched over, it was a headache, but worth it. It's an amazing phone, not much you can't do on it, especially because it has Windows loaded on it. Anyone else have smartphones? Screw normal ones, never going back xD |

Re: New phone
Cool Shayne! I can finally have someone to flash roms with because HTC phones are ****ing sweet. I have the Fuze, Aka Raphael/Touch Pro/Etc. which is essentially your phone without the face lift and you being CDMA. If you need anything in regards to customizing or anything with questions, let me know, I know a decent amount.
Edit: On second thought, **** CDMA. I don't know **** with how to do crap with them Also, don't know if you know xda, but this is an awesome community. Here's the Rhodium (Essentially TP2, Tilt2, etc.) forum for CDMA Last edited by scottish; 11-18-2009 at 09:21 AM.. |

Re: New phone
Yeah I was thinking about just going for the TP1, but after all the reviews I read about both the 1 and 2, seems like the 2 is much less buggy, and the keyboard doesn't have problems, and besides, the tilting screen is pretty rad, HTC really does make some solid phones.
And CDMA is just the type of carrier connection, it doesn't have anything to do with what you can load on the phone really. |

Re: New phone
My phone looks similar, but it probably has less features. I feel like a whore for buying it. I should use it more.

Re: New phone
Too white trash for a smart phone.
Using an LG Vu atm. It can text message. I'm good with that. Plus, the whole I-only-paid-forty-bucks-for-it thing.
