Soldering
Simply I am looking for a good/cheap soldering kit (just want to replace LCD monitor capacitors) soldering itself looks pretty simple, but I am not sure what I should be getting since I do not want something to go wrong because I got a crappy kit.
Any help would be great! |

Re: Soldering
Well I have never done anything like it before.
I always make sure to ask before I do something that could end badly. |

Re: Soldering
Don't overdo it and don't touch the tip, you'll be fine

Re: Soldering
Kit shouldn't matter as long you maintain it properly
Also don't blow on solder joints |

Re: Soldering
Yup I haven't done this in 3 years. It was fun. |

Re: Soldering
I use a $10 craftsman 30 watt iron I bought at sears. You don't need anything fancy. Also remember not to leave the iron on whatever it is you're trying to de/solder for too long or you'll ruin everything.
