How does one become a moderator?

You get asked if you wish to be one. I have heard that it is voted on by the admins and mods on who they choose as new moderators. They always choose intellegent, respected regulars in the community who are up to the task of being a mod. Hope that answered your question.

That's pretty much how it goes. When the staff feels there needs more moderation in the forum they vote on who they think would be the most qualified.

rule 1: must be a member for a decent amount of time
rule 2: must have a decent postcount rule 3: must be well respected rule 4: must not ask to be a mod well, looks like y'all fail. besides... there are like, 10 of us... if you really want to have a shot, just be helpful and active on the site for the next 6 months or more, and maybe you'll get noticed. but for now... lock++
