Re: Parkour
Parkour really fascinates me, it's scary to see what some of these guys can do. Ever seen District B13? That movie featured a lot of parkour, loved it, everyone did there own stunts without safety wires or whatever (climbing up buildings, running on walls, etc.).
Well anyway, I wish I knew how to do it, but there's so much stuff that you have to know (how to jump, how to land, and all the multiple ways of doing things). Parkour is one of my favorite things to watch, never done it before though.

Re: Parkour
Wrong. Parkour is completely different from free running.
"The terms parkour and Free running were once identical in meaning, but have diverged significantly, and the distinction is often missed; After David Belle and Sébastien Foucan went separate ways, free running evolved into an art that regarded true and complete freedom of movement as more important than efficiency. Foucan defines free running as a discipline to self development, following your own way. While traceurs and traceuses practice parkour in order to improve their ability to overcome obstacles faster and in the most efficient manner, free runners practice and employ a broader array of movements that are not always necessary in order to overcome obstacles." - Wikipedia

Re: Parkour
Yeah, Live Free or Die Hard has this french guy from District B13 as one of the bad guy's cronies that Mclane has to fight.
Mclane commented on how he was like a hamster or something with the way he was jumping and swinging all over the place. No, it wasn't David Belle. It was the blonde hero guy.

Re: Parkour
I try freerunning - I'm not nearly as good as the people you see in videos, but I can jump onto things at least as tall as me [with no hands, that is], do frontflips off of things, etc. Where I live, we've got nothing, but when I go downtown, I have fun in the alleys and such.
