Smile Re: Final Fantasy III Mognet codes

Yeah, Thanks, Cherry. You've helped a lot of folk by starting this.

Just so people know, as far as I can tell, it looks as if:
Once you and another person you've made contact with (probably through this thread) to exchange codes with;
Have installed each other's codes on your roster; and
Have connected to Mognet (so that it can *see* who's on your roster);
You can start sending messages with complete abandon, without needing to be online at the same time or anything. It's just that initial verification that you're both "friends" that the system needs.

Anyone had a different experience? It seems to be working for me, I'm getting mogmail from denizens of FF3, referring to broken necklaces, and the uber-smith lady, etc, (which I had heard I would only get if the WiFi mogmail thing had worked). But, if anyone has a complete, succinct (not my strong point!) guide to exactly what needs to be done for all the folk who log into this thread looking for help, please post it, so that it's really easy for all.

I hope that this helps someone. Later!

P.S. - New peeps here: you'll be best served by swapping friend codes with the most recent post-ers; the rest of us have "done the deed", and don't need more friend codes! But, some of us might be helpful. I promise nothing!!

'Foo, I'll put your code in my roster. Remember that folks did this for you when you needed it; be sure to add new codes to your roster when people post here, even when you've already unlocked the game. Y'know, Pay It Forward, and all that. At least for the next 5-10 friend code posts after your own. The new folk can help the newer folk from then. Goes Around, Comes Around, right?

I beat the game a long time ago, my problem is trying to beat the iron giant. He can attack 4 times and kill one of my characters in a single slice so i cant get even 1 attack in...
Also, i got my warrior job up to level 99 and i thought you could send that card you get to other people through mognet. Any ideas of how you go about that would be appreciated.

POONISH, MANNY420:

I've added your friend codes to my roster. I'm fairly certain that you don't need to log online at the same time, but that you do both have to enter my friend code (4081 1552 6655) onto your roster, and then try and download from "faraway friends" in the Moghouse. That should let the mogmail network know whose friends are whose, and you can start sending mail out. Add each other, too, if you haven't already! And then send out 7 mails. And send mails to "FFIII Denizens" as well, starting with 5 to Sara.

Remember that you can save your game, power down, set the DS clock forward an hour, and then send another set of mail straight away, without waiting for an hour between mogmails!

Just to be helpful, I have entered the new friend codes (the last 3 or so) from this forum on my friend roster, and logged into the Moghouse. If you add my code (4081 1552 6655) to your roster, and look for mail on the mognet, you should be able to mail me (seven times!), and unlock the Onion Knight/Legendary Smith. Go to it!

SLIPSTRIKE! (and anyone else who's interested!)

It looks like you can send your Job Cards as a signature attachment to anyone you're Mogmailing. i.e.:

1) compose a mogmail,
2) "Confirm" the text, and the game will ask if you'd like to add a signature (which it didn't used to, right?). The cards you have aquired will be available as signatures.
3) Select someone from your friend roster to be the lucky recipient, and hey, presto!

(It looks like this is working, though I've had no thanks for my Onion Knight nor Thief card so far. But it's only been a couple of days, and it takes a ~loooooong~ time to compose a Mogmail!!! So, pretty soon, this could become a job-card trading forum, huh?)

What would these cards even be worth for? You get the level 99 item along with the card so what would be the use?

Ah, yes, Sorry Cherry; Sorry, Folks!

I probable should have mentioned - the reason Slipstrike (and others) will want to trade job-cards is because:

~When you recieve a Job-Card with a Mogmail, you also get the Job-specific, ultimate weapon/armor for that Job!~

That's my understanding, anyhow. So, all these folk who have traded friend codes around and unlocked the Onion Knight class don't have to level an Onion Knight all the way up to level 99 (which takes a while, I promise!) to get the Onion Blade, if someone from their friend roster can send it to them. Cool, yeah?
