Step this please. It's free, so I assume we don't need to get permissions (although it would probably be better to). Great stuff on the main site as well, I just want to highlight this specific album cause it's a very different kind of sound to what FFR has, and most of it could make some great 5-9 files, some could also make some nice harder files too. |

Re: OCRemix
If I recall correctly, Monstrous Turtles required explicit permission from Zircon of OCRemix. Could someone in the know check the specifics of our arrangement with them?

Re: OCRemix

The pertinent part here is number seven. We cannot get blanket permission from OCRemix itself (as awesome as that would be) so we have to license the song from each artist individually. Contrast that with Newgrounds, whose artists release all their work on a creative commons license, meaning you can automatically use it for FFR without contacting the artist. We tend to contact the artists regardless of license however, as it's the polite thing to do. You need to be very careful- free music does not automatically mean free licensing as well. It's a minor but very important distinction.

Re: OCRemix
If it helps, he have a permission for bLiNd, and DarkeSword who have songs on this. I might try to get some more when I'm feeling unlazy.

Re: OCRemix
If I have time (and if it's needed) I can contact whoever made this and see if we can use this specific song. Otherwise go with T-Force's suggestion!

Re: OCRemix
@ Netjet! Thing is, it's an album. Then again, we got permission for OCR's FF7 album "Voices of the Lifestream". Either way, it depends on the song.
@ Max. Any song/artist you want permission for in particular? |

Nothing in perticular, they're all pretty awesome. I'd just like to see some of this stuff stepped for FFR, sounds pretty great.
