Yes, I can certainly investigate adding extended pagination! I'll add this to my to-do list.

You cannot report yourself, but if you search for "KungFuHustle" on your main account, you will be given the option to report the alternate account. Thanks for helping keep the leaderboards clean!

Hmm, separate "active" and "all-time" leaderboards was a controversial idea I had thrown out, however I am definitely open to investigate this in greater detail if it's something people would like to see.

This is amazing.

Like, dude. Between this and the fact that they finally did tier points right, the Kongregate magpie in me is tempted so to smash some more keys.

Unfortunately, I don't think my Linux box will stand for it.

EDIT LIKE IT'S 2005: whoop wop nope okay we're back maybe probably

I'm absolutely not saying that there should be seperated leaderboards, I'd be against that even. A little text saying "inactive" or a little icon which symbolizes "inactivity" etc. would be enough. I thought that it might be interesting to see who hasn't played in a while - not just for veterans, but also for new players who have never seen any of the names suddenly popping up on the list and are too lazy to click themselves through every profile to check whether these people haven't played in a while or not (especially those having a higher rank than said user). It'd also prevent new players from getting a false picture of the website where everybody who is on the leaderboard automatically still plays the game or something...

On the other hand it's controversial, I agree with that. It's not really needed in a list representing the skill of players, no matter when they played and if they still play.

It was a thought I had which I wouldn't mind seeing on the leaderboards personally, but of course it's up to the others and the devs

Two separate boards is probs not a good idea, but it'd be nice to be able to hide inactive accounts with a checkbox, or show active players' rank on mouseover, or something like that

Probably could clarify it a bit better like:

"If you want to report your own alternate accounts, you can do so by searching them in the leaderboards and then clicking the exclamation point next to their name after you search them. Note that if the account doesn't qualify for being ranked in this system, you cannot report it."

Or picture based example:

Because the description on the front page can lead you to think it's this one:

Which is the user control panel, which is what I thought of.

tldr: The FPP could use a little extra clarification just in case. I'm kinda dumb so I was pretty confused where to go myself. Dunno why I assumed it was on profile / in the control panel, but it'll help from other people like myself from getting confused.

Thanks, Xayphon and XCV! A checkbox sounds like a great compromise. I'll bring this up with the other devs tonight.

Good call. After working on a project for so long, I seem to lose the ability to explain basic things in normal english. Thank you -- I've used your suggestion to clarify this in the front page post.

Yeah I agree, viewing top 4 scores would be wonderful

Wait does this mean my Einstein-Rosen Bridge score is actually recognized, even with the miss? (5-0-1-6) Because currently my levelranks show 9-0-1-3

I think this is a very reasonable request.

As I expected after only a few minutes of comprehending how the system worked, a number of users took an absolutely massive hit in their ranks. Yes, this system does assess skill by taking the best score that users have, but there are an absurd number of users that have fallen inactive that pass a good number of these users whose ranks would be terrible because they haven't played anything new.

I don't feel like the leaderboard should represent players that haven't played after a certain period, which is why I think it's necessary to a.) expand the scoring beyond four scores and b.) come up with an effective calculation that still adds some minor weight to playing through the game. Yes, this is not a full skill-based assessment, but I hardly feel like a four song list is going to do the job either -- those involved with the development of this already realize that given the indication of wanting to expand past four songs.

Another interesting way to alleviate this situation is to apply some retroactivity to the minimum games (or some higher totals) played by omitting players who do not have the gameplays/songs over some sort of arbitrary time. This would cause players who do not play the game to fall off of the skill rating leaderboard, giving those who do play a bit more activity. The time would have to be somewhat reasonable, as higher level players that require less plays to get desired scores on lower level songs should not be falling off as a result of simply being capable of doing what they can.

Oops! Thanks KungFuHustle for catching that. There was an indexing error because there was no flag for Tahiti.

For some reason FFR feels the need to have separate countries for French Polynesia and Tahiti.

... and for Great Britain and the United Kingdom.

... and for American Samoa and Samoa American.

Actually, there are so many hilariously arbitrary islands on the FFR country list. I think we found the next FFR prodigy:
