Didn't see this until now. Thanks, Danceguy!

Ran overall decent at my last dual-meet yesterday.

1600m: 5:22
3200m: ~11:40

Making districts is going to be harder than I thought o:

It's Canada

My recent Ecco Bioms were upwards in the 200-250 range, I probably should've waited for a sale but oh well.

I run about 7k (3.5k twice) a day most days of the week.

That 1600 is good for sure though =p

And the 3200 hrm

I wish I had a Long Distance running group to officially time stuff with, it'd make it much more competitive

When I was about your age, you had to be under the 5 minute mark if you wanted to make it. Those kids are wicked scary honestly.

I don't time it, more for general exercise. Competing with yourself is boring to me. I'll try to set a timer and get a general time when I can remember. I don't usually push it hard, though I could... but uphill is so hard T_T

Thanks, Magicturbo. c:
And oh wow, nice. 5k is enough for me in XC, haha.

And to qualify for districts in the mile, the requirement if 4:52 I believe. I can definitely get it my junior year but this year is doubtful, still possible though. Not sure about 3200m, but I'm definitely going for that as well next year.

Junior year is usually about the year you run your fastest. I don't know why.

Also, pretty hype for tomorrow. I'm finally receiving my arm band from Amazon tomorrow. I'll finally be able to run with my Note 3 without having to put it in my pocket. Are we agreeing that we are using Strava, or are we going to be using Nike+?

I suppose so. I just like to see progress, so timing is always been ideal for me.
Also, the hills is where you should be pushing the hardest. It's great conditioning in my opinion.

There was a delay on my package, but I finally got my arm band. I'll be going for a run soon but I'll do it with the nike+ app first.

Did a mile in 13 minutes on Monday XD

How is your coaching situation? I don't mean to imply that it isn't good, but generally coaching in high school is suspect at best. Let me know if you want any input as I have a fair amount of experience with online coaching (or a game plan for summer if you aren't given a plan).

The achilles is finally feeling better so I was able to get a good pain free 10 miler in this morning. It is amazing how much better of a mood I am in when I can run!

Went for a small night run. I know for a fact that this pace thing is off. I definitely felt like I ran a 6 min mile pace, but whatever. I think it's pretty neat to have something that tracks me. I'll have to try Strava soon.

Sorry for double post, but if anybody is interested in doing a group thing for this, let me know. I can make a list of nike+/strava users.

I'd be down (Strava).

Shit. Okay. I'd really prefer nike plus because I've been making friends who've been using it. I can try to use both at the same time though.

Edit: it's starting to become very difficult to run in my area. It gets super windy, and it just blows. Fastest 6 miles according to the app.

You can always get one of those bike racks for the back of your car.

I walked 9.8 miles in the morning yesterday, and at least another three or four in the evening. I have two huge blisters on my heels and an injured muscle on my legs (can't remember the exact name)

It was a nice day
