Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
It's looking good. Probably going to stick with the current Velo engine for FFR though, because I'm not used to the space the new engine provides (similar to Stepmania for me). So yeah, screencutting imo would be a benefit. But great work so far!

Merry christmas to you too Jon. I agree with the screencut comments because my PA goes to hell with this space ;D
Also cool, you finally released this.

Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
No lag in the browser =O!!!!
If anyone wants screencutting, just up your speed to adapt. I can now play 2.4x But I really like the interface. I'm still getting used to timing as it feels a bit different but it plays well. I could definitely accept this as my new engine once all the features are implemented like mirror, and it recording your scores. Playing it more and more and it just feels so smooth to play on. I'm impressed with the feel. Great job Velo! Last edited by Magicturbo; 12-25-2011 at 10:30 AM.. |

Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
The timing for the game is the exact same as FFR is terms of the judge windows. It could be off in comparison to the general timing of the entire thing though by 1-2 frames either way.
I'll add in some screencutting thing and I'm really happy that it's not lagging for people. I'm able to play on 4.50x because of the extra space. ;D |

Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
So glad my old account just became a vet, this is totally amazing. I'll love you for life if you make this public and an online playable engine that records and everything.

Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
play 1.75-1.85 on FFR, 2.75-3.0 on this engine. makes reading A LOT easier. The gameplay is ridiculous smooth and flows. Is it still 30/31 fps or 60?
Also, is that glitch for holding the keys and not failing or just holding them until it boos you out? If the latter, it's just key refreshing from holding it down.

This is running at 30fps during gameplay. 60fps in the menu.

Re: Merry Christmas from Velo
this engine ****ing rules, extra space/being able to use a higher speedmod helps so much
it says mac combo on the results screen would like the amazing judgement to show ingame as the perfect judgement just with white text instead. having it constantly change between perf/amaz would probably be annoying so this would be a better(in my opinion) alternative.
