If you think about it, it really wouldn't be adding lag at all.

Here's how I see it. In our current scoring system, each timing is represented by a scoring value that is added on to our total score (perf = 50, good = 25, avg = 5 [I think?], etc.)--so the more arrows into a song, the more math that must be done to continue to represent your total score.

Whereas, this would be just a simple counter of these values, which the current scoring system has to use anyway to get the math for the judgments.

That's how I see it.

Yep that's pretty much how it is.

I was also thinking that since we'll be removing the big accuracy display by adding the PA counter at the bottom, we'd need to make some kind of small animation appear around the edges of the accuracy you just hit. Just like there's an animation that pops out of the arrow frame when you hit an arrow, there would be a little one pop out of the spot on the PA counter that corresponds to the accuracy you just hit.

Now, an animation might be pushing it a little. I'm all for the idea, but animations will cause lag, and there's nothing we can do about that. What kind of animation are you suggesting anyway?

I'm talking about that thing you see around the frame when you hit an arrow. If we put the same type of thing around the accuracy spot on the counter, it will eliminate the need for there to be the accuracy display of the arrow you just hit.

Plus, I'm not really saying this has to happen if we do get this PA counter, I just think it would make it more dynamic.

I like the idea, It might cause lag even with being an option though. Also how would this affect MP play? How would it look there? Also congrats on Ninjaing Devonin.
