jTWG LXXVII: DFR and the Six Dakis: Reloaded post game

That above, is the setup to this magical game called........................ MATRIX6 YEAH!

Matrix6 is one of the most common "j" setups that's run. It features quite a few pr's, both town and wolf sided, and also features a lot of possible setups that you have to think about! Wowzers thinking!

So this is how it works. I'm going to random.org a choosing from A, B, C, 1, 2, and 3 in honor of innocent Michael Jackson. Whatever I pick will be the "setup". If you notice, there are two town roles and always one wolf role. So I will add what is chosen to a group of 5 vanilla townies and 1 vanilla wolf. So this will feature 9 people. If you would like an example, if I random'd the number 2, the setup would be 5 vanilla town, 1 town cop, 1 town doctor, 1 wolf roleblocker, and 1 vanilla wolf. Here's the catch though, I don't tell you what the setup is, you have to find out for yourself. THINKING!

Vanilla Townie - You have no special powers except your intelligence.

Town Jailkeeper - Whoever you choose in the night is protected by the wolf nightkill but also is roleblocked, which means if they have an action, they will not be able to perform the action.

Town Cop - Each night you get to target one person and are returned with a result of their allignment (e.g. "wolf","town")

Town Doctor - Each night you get to target one person and save said person from the nightkill.

Town Tracker - Each night you target someone and see if that person targets anyone. If you target someone who doesn't have an action, you will get "no result"

1-Shot Bulletproof Townie - If you are targeted by the wolves for a wolf kill, you survive once. If you get targeted again however, you will die then.

Wolf Roleblocker - Each night you can block someone from doing their night action, and you get to make a nightkill w/ your partner.

Wolf Goon - Same terminology as Vanilla Wolf. You just make a night kill with your partner.

Alignments:
Town - Your objective is to find all the wolves. You win when all the wolves are dead.

Wolf - Your objective is to stay alive and kill the other players. You win when your numbers equal town's numbers.

How to vote: dfr = [twgv]dfr[twgv] with a slash before the t in the second tag.

Alright player analysis. There weren't too many juniors in this game so it'll be very brief. I don't think I'm anywhere close to being able to tell the pros how to play lmao. I will commend the vets that played for being very noob friendly. None of you went too hard, and didn't flood the other players.

Helphelp11 - You got unlucky having to be wolf on your second game, but you need to post more. You are way too quiet and don't post for far too long. That ultimately hurts town if you're town, and hurts the wolves if you're a wolf. Your posts this game have also been very fluffy, meaning there hasn't been much content, especially original content. But you'll be able to develop this as you play. It was the hardest thing for me to do. Just start posting. As the great V said to me, "JUST POST!!!!". Also I feel like you were very close to Xel when you were getting pressured, I think at one point you said "hey xel what do you think" and that partnered you a lot.

AragakiAyase - dude you're already better than me wtf it's b/c ur asian prolly and im stupid white kid. But for real, you had the wolves pinged out as early as Mashi did. You've been able to.. god dammit just play regular twg for town games and play jtwg for your wolf game lmao.

Shad - it happens, you were burnt out on twg. i hope you play again soon when you feel ready for it lmao

uh i think that's pretty much it for the juniors. you vets did k. honestly mvp goes to ethan easily. gj man, and i can't wait to get rekt by you in future games ^^

thought it was jailkeeper vanilla aka setup 1 (which is 100% awful to play), because a lot of people claimed vanilla town. If there was a role it was mashi or myself after help got lynched, funny that I still thought mashi could've been a wolf at the end.

Gonna say a few things:

0. I still wanna know why Zenith was read scum aside from like completely ditching. Like I don't get it. I was legit mad there that it happened like I never say to say Zenith.

1. Squirel if I didn't come up with a reason to night kill you, you bet your ass I'd have tried to throw you into the lynch wagon.

2. I apologize to Help for not being that great a partner. I'm not very great at wolf myself, so I didn't wanna misdirect you too hard.

3. I also wanna say I only threw you under the bus because till this game I hadn't thrown a partner under the bus intentionally. I was going to try to bank on that since people's meta's of me are pretty awful imho, save for plop who is right, but for the wrong reasons at my wolf game. It's never been a lack of interest it's that I get to a point where I begin to over think things which leads me to lose my momentum and then I feel every post I make is out of context and scummy as hell so I post even less.

But he has my pattern down though. tldr though I've become my own worst enemy and I reallllly need to fix that. I have no idea how to do it though.

Overall I'm gonna say this was a fucking trash game on my end and saying it was anything else is just simply wrong.

I think ur being a bit hard on urself xel. People suspected u but it wasn't until ur momentum slowed down. I mean you can say people don't know ur meta or whatnot but I think its a lot more accurate to say you got townread early.

honestly, I think u did a really good job coaching in the wolfchat as well. I mean your powerrole reads were off but the general advice was A+ and my heart grew three sizes when you told help not to argue for lucy being a wolf for him editing a post.

I'm being hard on myself because if I weren't so neurotic I probably would have done better. Like I probably should have killed AA night one and mashi n2 because I debated it pretty hard both times

just n2 I settled for humor and killed greg

I assumed I was gonna get tracked or checked that night being the other top suspect

I actually wish I had tried to push sunfan onto the lynch agenda for being wishy washy about the zenith vote, cause I realllllly debated doing it like

if you saw me lurking night 1, that was the post I was working on. I trashed it because it felt out of context at that point. I couldn't phrase it in a way that satisfied me.

I second this motion; everyone literally let Squidly pile shaky votes on me and you all regretted it after my flip like, cmon guys you are vets 1) Don't be regretful for any lynch unless you were coaxed into killing a PR by a counterclaim and 2) I LEFT TO GO SWIMMING, CAME BACK, AND THEN HAD TO LEAVE AGAIN. I was going to be here for EoD (which I was hence my death post), but you really made a critical error of letting one "had to go" act into scum territory when it never is alignment indicative (unless your name is DBP).

If you're talking about either you or Squirl being lynched D1, then why does it matter? You sound upset with other people for choosing the "wrong" mislynch. A miss is a miss.

Your logic led you to a wrong conclusion on Squirl's alignment. That happens very frequently, especially in the first day phase of a game, but the fact that you were wrong invalidates your argument that others should have chosen to follow you and lynch your target. In my eyes, anyway.
