Re: Computer Speakers.
wan't?
You should also look for a good pair of head phones because you probably won't want loud music playing in your house 24/7 if you're living with other people. ~Tsugomaru

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
I'd suggest anything from Bose. It's exspensive, but it has amazing quality.
http://www.bose.com/controller?event...sets/index.jsp Edit: try talking to iPatch. He should give you some great advice on speakers/headphones.

Probably not my greatest suggestion ever but I got all my accessories from the school. They has some awesome speakers, keyboards, mouses, mouse pads, etc. I just grabbed what I wanted. If you're good at stealing, try it.

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
Wow... You've got a bunch of money to spend on sound stuff...
If you don't have a good sound card (or any sound card) these will be basically completely useless...

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
*shrug* I've gotten 3 whole computers from my school. Windows 98, XS, and something so old I don't know. It was a Mac though. But yeah, that sucks dude. I got some XP hardware and hooked it up with my lap top (Windows 2000) and life was good. Then I installed StepMania and life was great

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
Not completely true. I have my Bose system hooked up to onboard sound, and it still sounds fantastic.

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
Bose is a joke.
Yeah, I said it. Sure, the volume is loud, but the actual wave depth is absolute crap, 'cept the subwoofers, those things are amazing. Though, unless you're a big 'ol audiophile/composer like myself, you probably wont notice those things. I recommend a pair of Sony MDR-NC6s. I've composed with these babies for the last three years and they haven't failed me yet. You can pick up one refurbished for around $20. |

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
I don't know anything about the headphones, but I have a friend who has that set of Logitech speakers, and they are VERY nice. You don't really get a whole lot of the lows, but when it comes to everything else, (I have found) that's it's out of this world.

Hello, my name is iPatch. Are you needing headphone assistance? Avoid wireless, bose, skullcandy. What is your budget? Aim me if you need to.

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
If you are going to get the Sennheiser, get it here: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS-...8411124&sr=8-1
Much cheaper. Tiger direct is such a ripoff on everything they have. |

Just talk to iPatch. He's pretty much the residential headphones/speaker guru on the site.

Re: Computer Speakers/Headphones
Sennheiser.
For the best of the best, go for the HD 650 Pro. Too bad they're halfopen. For the best you can get for a decent price, go for the HD 280 Pro. |
