The only shocking news here is the fact that there isn't a single capitalized letter in the OP.

Happens when the admin/mods do not like your posts. Usually if it doesn't pertain to subject. Happened to 3 of my posts in last 24 hours

in short: deal wit it

Wanting to be informed/informing yourself and relying on the news are totally different things. I follow several media organization's coverage of events, but I never rely on them because unless you don't follow the news or are retarded, you'd know that the news gets a lot wrong, a lot of the time. News organizations get their information usually from where everybody else is getting their information and then those news organizations check out other news organizations to see what information they have and end up churning out a load of bullshit.

Also just because one idiot said that this isn't a big deal, doesn't mean everybody should jump on that bandwagon like a bunch of ****ing retards. 50% of posts in this thread are pretty disgusting and I'd rather read a post without capitalization than read a post which solely states that a previous post did not capitalize any letters, makes you more of a moron All-Pro.

of course. i don't mean depend on a single news source. but we kinda rely on newsgroups to cover news for us and journalists to find out stuff around the world for us, unless you somehow know everything as it is happening. there are different sides to each story and you make up your own mind but you follow several newsgroups because you trust them, they are reliable. the more different ones the better.

but a lot of people do rely on murdochs media for news however, if they don't have time for news or are not that highbrow. these people make up a large proportion, if not the majority. they read his papers and watch his channels. he should have responsibility for what he reports. but he doesn't he just targets these people and spreads his propaganda while abusing people. most news organisations are biased and possibly dodgy but usually not criminal, unlike News Corporation. I hope america catches on to him and brings him down.

gsm i thought you meant you found ALL news boring lol

If you're referring to my "I didn't realize people took News International and its ilk seriously, though." post, I didn't mean it like that. I meant that I thought the general population regarded News of the World and etc. as tabloids and not a respectable news agency.

tabloids aren't respected by a lot of people but they're very powerful at shaping public opinion as they can get away with spreading their lies and hate to their readers who care more about celebrities, and they then regurgitate that hate.

but news international also owns other papers like the times, a 'seemingly respectable' broadsheet, but one which follows the murdoch agenda closely, distorts the truth and just happens to have been hacking as well. news corporations papers in the US, wall street journal, new york post, are probably all like this too. edit: just read that all 120 papers of his across the world backed the iraq war o god.

If everyone wrapped their mobiles in aluminium foil, none of this would have happened. Just a thought.

another twist:
"A spokesman for Ms. Brooks said the bag belongs to Charlie Brooks. One of Mr. Brooks's friends was returning his bag, containing a computer, but left it in the parking garage by mistake, says David Wilson, a spokesman for Ms. Brooks. When Mr. Brooks went looking for the bag in the garage, security told him it had been found in the garbage and turned over to police, Mr. Wilson said. He said he didn't know how or why the security staff retrieved the bag from the garbage, or if the bag had ever been in the garbage in the first place."
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...googlenews_wsj

the story iz that homeboy tries 2 ditch computer and shit for his wife (who "inexplicably died," correct? or was that another person?) comes back for it after his "friend misplaced it in the garbage"

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite.
