Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
Games will be starting from 9pm tomorrow night server time. These will again be non-leaderboard matches. As they will commence on Feb 1st.
More games to follow a big possibility, but these will be mainly to see who is available over fri/sat/sunday. Working out best times to play on saturday/sunday. Thinking a lunchtime game and a night game. Thoughts?

I will be available fri and sunday most times, and saturday night. BTW, who plays during lunch? Get a job... EDIT: I will be able to play tonight but im gonna try to pick up some food and bring it back as it starts. Do you know if it will kick me out, or will it just sit me out if i miss the first few hands? Last edited by ddrmaniacaaa; 01-28-2011 at 05:39 PM.. |

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
It'll sit you out if you're registered. There is 10min late rego available.
p.s. The lunchtime game on the weekend is also to cater for those who may be in a different timezone... These 'night' games are on at 1pm for me x:

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
How about we get a game where we value points as credits? ie, before the game, we all transfer x credits to the game host. and when we cash out, we recieve our credits back.
think that would be an interesting way to spend creds.

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
According to PTR lumpho is down 3k in cash games
Do you play mostly SNGs? I can't stand them really. They're pretty soft at the lower stakes but boring. I'll sit like 20+ of them at the same time. If you move up everyone knows how to optimal SNG and it's a ****ing flip fest with such little edge. I mostly play low stakes cash games on tilt. Favorite game is deep heads up NLHE. I like Omaha but I'm not terribly good at it compared to NLHE. I like the 0.25/0.5 games; I've got well over 100,000 hands on there now, and my edge is pretty big ( < 5 bb/100) w/ 12 tables. A nice TAG game with good use of a HUD makes the game pretty soft for those interested. Have made a lot of money at those stakes and don't really feel like moving up. Have tried a couple of times and didn't run well, not to mention the players are stronger. Played well but ran -EV and lost too much of my roll, so I moved back down. Anyway, I hate playing on stars. With that said, I might take a peek into these games. Could be fun, but given the fact I never play on stars I don't have any play money chips. Does that matter? Let me know. I have millions on full tilt if anyone wants to play there, but alas...damn poker stars and it's ugly GUI. If I need chips, any games in particular that are especially soft? I like the rush games on FT; I was bored one night and wanted to test rush games;ran about 10k hands w/ 4tables at 100/200 and ran up 2 million in winnings (With reloads on every double up, effective edge 100 bb/100 lmao).

EDIT: on stars i frequent the 119$ and 114$ tables most of the time and i'd say about half of us have optimal sng strategy down so theres still room to make $ Last edited by lumphoboextreme; 01-29-2011 at 11:34 PM.. |

Basically, 1/2 outers are pretty common dude and if you haven't clocked well over 10k hands you probably just had bad sessions. Really, only half? If it's that soft I might consider them again if I need money or a break from cash games, but on tilt when I moved up I wasn't hitting any fish. Everyone was a tight nit and super aggro as the bubble approached. Maybe just bad luck.
