Default Left 4 Dead 2 OMFG

From the moment I saw that leaked trailer about a month ago, I was really hoping I could get the game. What a surprise that yesterday my parents gave me $100 and I asked my dad if I can use it to pre-order the game. Only thing is, all you get is a demo and a baseball bat and 10% off. I guess it's okay but still a rip off (40+ dollars for a game ).

Today when my dad gets home, he will buy it for me via credit card, and I will be online probably this whole month whoring achievements and what not. About time I do something other than rhythm games. I play through a program called Steam. My username is XxSK3L3T0RxX for those who would like to add me/play with me. I'm REALLY looking forward to Versus Mode with about 8 special infected in total.

Any comments, criticism, reviews, remarks about the game? Speak out! I personally love this game because you have new items, new special infected, new characters (though I despise sequels that do that but these new characters are alright), new weapons, new settings, PLUS every game you play will be different, as in random. Now THAT'S a game! As of now I rate the game 4.5/5. I can't wait until I play the demo, and I guess it's pretty cool that I get to keep an exclusive baseball bat hehe.

Left 4 Dead was an amazing game, but I felt like it didn't have enough to it. Although Left 4 Dead 2 could've easily been an add-on to the original game, I feel like this will be worth a purchase; the demo did not cease to amaze me. I cannot wait to get this game, but I will have to wait until Christmas.

However, in the demo it appears that all melee weapons do the same amount of damage (unless I'm not paying enough attention). I would like to see stronger weapons (machete) do more damage than the weaker ones (nightstick).

The only good thing about preordering L4D2 is the TF2 hat you get in return.

it seems like there's not enough new things in L4D2. Sure more weapons, new enemies, and new locations but i think everything else is the same.

I was at the midnight launch and got it for XBOX. I beat all the campaign in about 6 hours on normal.

Its the same thing as the L4D1 but with more kinds of weapons, different maps and blah blah blah. I didn't like the swamp and Hard Rain campaign because when I play zombie games, I wanna be in an urban landscape like a city, not in open space. Sure the atmosphere is acceptable, but its not what I thought of a place for zombies.

If you are an FPS fan like me, L4D2 is enjoyable, but the achievements for the second one doesn't make the game more playable than the first one (the achievement for the 59k zombies killed. I still dont have it.) Some of it is because of the maps for me but thats just me.

Love it. Loved the first one, but now I can't play it without lamenting how much better the second one is. When/if Valve balances and releases the old campaigns for L4D2 I'll be much happier, but honestly this game is the epitome of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" used right. They fixed everything that sucked and didn't touch anything that didn't. A beacon of light in the dim dark swampland of the industry.

Unfortunately, melee weapons are fairly overpowered. It's okay though, because when I boom on someone and he promptly starts wildly laying into all his friends with a katana... HHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGUHH

I really do like that they beefed up the difficulty. And Valve was not kidding when they said you won't be playing the same campaign, or the third one, etc. The paths that you have to follow do actually change up sometimes. It gets quite disorienting when you play with a group that doesn't know where they're going while you're thinking you actually do.

I will agree that melee weapons are somewhat overpowered, the axe and katana work wonders.

Funny little thing though, when you use incendiary or explosive rounds in your current gun, you can reload it and nothing will happen.

Well, what happens is that the magazine does fill up, but the ammo count will only show how many special rounds you have left in the clip. So, say you have a clip of 40. Shoot 30, reload. The ammo count will read 10 still. Fire off 20 rounds and it turns back to normal rounds with 20 left in the clip.

I think I explained that right.

Oh, I see. It retains the current count of regular bullets prior to the special ammo according to what you say.

That would explain why I always ended up with 40 after doing that and wasting my special ammo. It still looks weird though.

I hope I get it for Christmas. I'm so broke.

I love zombies... I also don't get why someone.. ahem.. would think that zombies are only suited for an urban environment. That's just lame. I guess it does make sense since those areas are more populated by people but a zombie infection can spread anywhere. It's not like fricken Racoon City all the time, damnit. Even THAT virus spread out everywhere.

Okay.. I'm done ranting. I'm just a super big fangirl of zombies. D:
