YAY my computer caught on fire :D
No, really, it suck....
My keyboard doesn't work anymore, a super big projet that I spent countless hours on for the last 7 months have been destroyed and I have to restart it from the beggining, my audio card that cost me 700$ is ****ed up, almost all of the songs I created and worked on for an other big project doesn't exist anymore(I also need to restart them), I have to repay 600$ to get FL Studio 8 on my computer, I also need to buy a new computer. I'm maybe forgetting a lot of things but I think it's better for my mental health to not know them Conclusion: Damn....Life suck...... |

Also what the hell did you do? One time I was at a library in another town so I restarted the computer and overclocked the processor hardcore. As I was using it it popped and I was like "HOLY **** WTF" and they didn't suspect a thing...didn't catch on fire though |

or instead of wasting 7 months of your life fixing a crappy keyboard you just shell out the $40 for a decent one

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
My computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. A lot of crappy stuff was saved. Now I have to redo all that crappy stuff.
Crappy stuff include simfiles, kewlz list, some tournament I was going to make, photos, gfx, etc..

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
Anything under warranty? xD
Why would you pay $600 for a program, and $700 for an audio card?

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
Well the project isn't my keyboard, it's an audio adventure. I don't know if you know what it is but it is incredibly long to make only an episode (1 or 2 months of hardwork)
And the reason why I buy software is because of that reason : Imagine how you would feel if you've like taken 5 years of your life on making an incredible software and that the only result you would got is a kid stolling it. It caught on fire because everything was... I don't know how to say it in english but I'll explaining it. The power suplie had too much things to do 'cause everything was like totally ****ed up. Still, it's not really supprising considering the fact that it was 9 years old. Oh, and no photo, I was more thinking of getting the computer to the a specialist to see if something could be saved. He told me that that PC was totally srewwed up so I leaved it there. I'm a musician so I want to be equipped, that's why the audio card cost 700$ Last edited by Artic_counter; 06-16-2008 at 08:56 PM.. |

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
A development team makes the software. And they're not worried about kids downloading it for free, because they know that professionals and companies will fork out the money for a lot of copies of their software.
P.S.: The only way I would buy expensive software is if I knew that whatever I created with it would bring in more money than the cost of the software. |

Truly sir, you are a retard.
The phrase is "life sucks." Seriously, how do you f*ck that up? Edit: Haha, foreigner, never mind any of what I just said. The stuff that you understood anyway.

You know what I meant, it only was an exemple. Also, practice makes perfect so I think that I'll be making more money thanwhat the software cost. I'm not blamming you for not knowing it but english isn't my native language Last edited by Artic_counter; 06-16-2008 at 09:02 PM.. |

Laptops have been known to explode because of faulty batteries, so this isn't too unusual.
You should definitely backup next time, though...I can somewhat sympathize, as my external hard drive just died (the infamous "click of death") and some junk that I wanted to keep was on there (movies, games, some semi-important files, etc.).

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
This is not really what I meant. I really was wondering what you were doing that caused you to pay for something that expensive rather than finding some type of free software that does almost the same thing.

Re: YAY my computer caught on fire :D
If my computer caught on fire, first thing I'd do would be to make a thread about it.
Sucks for your computer. If anyone is quoting this, it means you didn't pick out my sarcasm.
