IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
I recently switched to Chrome over FF a few days ago and haven't looked back... it hasn't been eating up nearly as much memory, and it hasn't crashed once yet (FF crashes a lot on Facebook for instance).
What do you guys prefer?

Firefox. IE is poo, Chrome runs just as bad as IE for me and I never tried opera.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
I used to prefer Chrome, but now it won't work on my laptop. No page will load and I cannot figure out why. I now use FireFox. IE is just atrocious and should never be used by anybody.

My FF hasn't crashed on FB. Must be your computer.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
I have a corrupted google cookie or something in Firefox, so to log into gmail or youtube I have to switch to Safari real quick. But I couldn't live without my various addons. Firefox is my fave.
ps I always thought this graph was rather fascinating, though it obviously doesn't apply to this forum. Last edited by MrGiggles; 11-3-2009 at 04:44 PM.. |

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
Firefox because it's one one of the few good browsers Linux, and doesn't eat as much memory. I would use Chrome while on Windows if it weren't for the add ons. No Script is a huge lifesaver.

Got Chrome when it came out and never looked back.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
I am guessing I have a setting somewhere in FF that screws with FB, because FB doesn't crash on IE or Chrome, but it does crash on FF.

Firefox or Opera
Re-install Firefox and see if that settles it |

I switch between FF and Opera a lot, I haven't had any outstanding problems between any of them.
I'm surprised that Kaspersky AV isn't on that graph by the way. |

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
I gave Chrome a try back when it came out. Everything was going pretty well. Then I switched back to Firefox probably just because it was what I was familiar with. I really really really don't like change. I do use chrome whenever my firefox decides to poop itself, but that doesn't happen very often.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
There must be something on your computer if it crashes on FB. I have FF add-ons, but it still doesn't crash. I also don't have Windows 7 yet.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
Rubix, it's probably one of your add-ons. I figured out that one of my addons apparently screws with FFR, and since then I just run in FF safe mode, or just use chrome to play FFR. Small hassle, but for everything else, I just use Firefox - my addons and bookmarks bar are invaluable tools.

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
If Chrome had add ons, there wouldn't be a single person using anything else, if they weren't idiots of course.
I use Chrome for everything except ffr, and FF for FFR. |

Re: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera?
How do I get ffr the game to work on ubuntu? ffr just goes nuts and all other flash applications just don't show anything.
