Is perfume really that important to a girl?
K. So I'm talking to my friend on msn, she asks me for guy advice. I don't know what to expect, then she comes up with this:
"I like this guy nicholas, but he's allegric to my favourite perfume. What should I do? I can't stop wearing my signature scent!" So I tell her that she should change her perfume, then she says: "Well a perfume is very important to a girl. I think I should sleep on my desicion." So is perfume REALLY that important? |

Re: Is perfume really that important to a girl?
Personally, I don't wear perfume.
I am unable to understand females and the dire need of something so expensive.

Re: Is perfume really that important to a girl?
That's stupid, imo. It's not that important to me. I just bathe, and put on lotion, and I smell fine. You don't need to be overpowered by a scent, you just need to smell clean. Or smell NOT bad. Most men that I've asked about this have said they don't like it when women smell strongly, and that's of any scent. Perhaps a very light fragrance is acceptable. I mean, I actually like it when I smell a hint of gardenia on someone, or vanilla. But I don't want to be able to smell it from across the room.
Based on my experience, most women don't like it either. But there are those that insist on smelling. It's kind of ridiculous for her to not be able to choose between a perfume and a guy. I got a little off topic, because that's just one of my pet peeves. Perfumes make me sneeze. So, yeah. They're not that important to most women. I like having a scented lotion on hand though. Just nothing strong.

Re: Is perfume really that important to a girl?
I must say I thing what your friend is saying is completely insane. Perfume isn't something that important. I don't wear perfume. As another person said, I just shower and put on some lotion. There is no need to put on perfume to smell like something you just bought. It's stupid in my opinion to fuss over not being able to wear perfume. Well...that's just me.

Perfume is a waste of money. I tend to think of perfume wearers as old ladies. I just happen to notice that most of the women I smell wearing perfume are 40+. Chick is dumb, tell her to stop being a moron and give up the "signature" scent; it's making her smell old.

Perfume is the most important thing in the world. Wars have been fought over perfume. People have died because of perfume.

Re: Is perfume really that important to a girl?
I mean, if her perfume is really awesome, then maybe she should go for another guy.
But, really, guys think girls smell awesome even if they don't bathe. |

Ha I third that xD
Perfume just isn't necessary, it clogs my throat and irritates my eyes, since they're sensitive to air born particles from hair spray, perfume etc.

The smell of a woman, when she's fired up, that trumps all perfumes ever.

Re: Is perfume really that important to a girl?
Yea, that was weird. She's like, "It's nice to talk to someone who doesn't consider me a dumb blonde." Ok, I know she's not stupid, but it's like she's trying to play the part! I don't understand her at all lol.
