Also, would the non-locking of juicy threads increase activity on FFR? Does the habit of the FFR staffs quick thread locking actually do more harm than good for the overall growth of its members? This is also a pretty important topic we should discuss

On the first note, as far as i know, Red Blaster is a profile moderator. Although I havent seen him take any action, and I imagine I wouldnt unless its against someone I know or myself.

On the second note, i think locking the "juicy" threads is ok on the fact it prevents the degeneration of the posts into namecalling and whatnot. Although it does create the possibility where extra threads, possibly including this one (debatable), are created clogging up the site. From my pov, the former is more important than the latter, forum mods might have a different perspective though because.nothing is ever really deleted in the forum and it creates a hassle and uses space.

Pointless activity, yes. It wouldn't bring fresh faces here, nor would it attract traffic. It would just allow the dozen or so non-TGB regular posters to continue circling around each other for twenty more pages than needed.

It's impossible to grow from something that's already dead.

Unless you're a plant.

This made me laugh thanks. The first page of chit chat includes threads with a last post dated in February. Pretty sure he's not causing jewels to be hidden in the mire.

We have a mod who won't answer you if he doesn't like you. He's a fraud mod and the fact that a vote was probably had to promote him is concerning.

What you call degeneration I would argue most consider as entertainment. This site is severely lacking in entertainment. Let's not pretend we can't attribute a lot of this to FFR being a ghost town. The babysitter oligarchy of FFR is totally a thing and it's counter productive

Severe incompetence and fraudulence are indeed synonymous here

That's because he can't. That's my own fault. Zageron sent me a shopping list of scripts, extensions, and alluded to some widget class "which is fkn somewhere" that need to be edited so Profile Moderators can moderate profile chat. I seriously do not have the time and patience required to solve this mom's spaghetti of code, and he also didn't apply to be Global Moderator.

Red Blaster can still moderate profiles and multiplayer, but doesn't have the privileges for profile chat. So I feel really bad that Red Blaster can't do the position he applied for. Even if the profile chat scene is pretty dead, I don't think Red Blaster deserves this much negative attention because he volunteered for a position so he could make a difference.

I think we figured it out. Red Blaster should be able to moderate profile chat now. Thank you based psychoangel.
