Still haven't broken that old habit of just posting other sites' stories and asking us to discuss, huh?

I stated what Squeek said in more of an agressive tone in another thread.
But to discuss this, this was going on when Halo ODST came out, players downloading it 2 weeks before it was to be released in the United States.

Re: Microsoft cracks down on modified Xbox 360s
I have a friend that has a friend that got banned for modifying their xbox. And they banned him like as soon as he did it too. Like in one day.

Re: Microsoft cracks down on modified Xbox 360s
Not much to discuss, really. This isn't a surprise at all - t'was bound to happen eventually, and now the fools that modded pay the price. Does anyone think similar action will be taken by Nintendo, though? That strikes me as a more debatable question.
I suppose their only comfort lies in that they have to get a new 360 every few years anyways from RROD. The only reason mine hasn't conked out yet is because I haven't used it all too often, methinks. |

Re: Microsoft cracks down on modified Xbox 360s
I remember back in the good old days when people modded their original XBOX's for fun. I got banned from quite a few games, but it was always worth it.
I don't see why people think trying to play pirated games online would be ok though. Everyone should pretty much be expecting the ban, I know I did

Re: Microsoft cracks down on modified Xbox 360s
Well, this sucks. Just yesterday I took my 360 completely apart to mod it. Now I'm sitting with my 360 in pieces and i read this. Not cool...
Oh wait, I already planned for this with a backup account and not playing on Live. I guess this is not as big of a trouble as they thought... More when I'm finished, which will probably be in a few months based on how I usually work on projects... |
