Default Perfection......

Now... I'm not the one to think of this type of thing... often....

I had looked at a couple profiles.... and one thing that caught my eyes in a certain profile (generally not exactly) was: Is perfection achievable? With what we have been given?

Now, I looked at this and I thought at first: 'of course not, thats silly, nothing is perfect and can't be so'. Then I looked back on all the times I've used 'perfect' to describe someone or something... Only a couple times, meaning it, I meant and felt like it was perfection I was looking at...

A girl entered my life about two years ago now, we dated for 6 months but that really doesn't matter. She went out with another person, due to my intervention, and I became envyous of what they had. It was perfect, Nothing wrong about it.

Eh... moving on (its a long story) Perfection is achievable, and Perfection for one person is different for another. So I believe that Perfection is an image... and sometimes effeceincy (well, all the time rather). So by appearing to be Perfect you are perfect, untill someone or something attacks that image... distroting it and ruining it.

Well, thats my deep thought for the year... enjoy... I might have another, at a later date of course...

It is like the good and bad topic, you can't really draw definite lines and boundries for perfection. People determine the boundries for this perfection and everyone has a different perception on these type of things.

One thing, you are only thinking of perfection as the highest thing someone sees or thinks. Just because their standards may be lower than other peoples doesnt mean what they think is perfect is just as correct as someone with higher standards perfect. Essentially there is one supreme way to be perfect, which is to be sinless (religious or not).

If you want to go into religion, then the highest form of perfection is what god decides. Since we were born without a (hate to say it) 'perfect' sense of right and wrong, we have sinned making us imperfect, however some see the atonement as being a way to make yourself as close to perfect as possible as to be worthy to stand in the presence of god. Essentially, the only person who was 'perfect' was christ who was (argueable by different religions) the literal son of god. This is my take on things, not like i am trying to preach or anything.

There is no such thing as true perfection, as there is no such thing as 100% objectivity.

Over much toil on the subject, i would be inclined to agree that perfection is completely contextually. I think it relates similarly to using infinite in math...such that it isnt so much an actual number, just arbitrarily known as an extreme. A literal sense of perfection would require flawlessness (complete efficiency...perpetual motion...all that jazz), perhaps even greater then that and since reality does not adhere to such a standard, it does not exist in our lives. Sinless isnt quite the word for it, simply because it is just as subjective to the individual as perfect is, but i think the overall point has been stressed between us all.
