America, wake up
Don't you see that the government has been brainwashing you for the longest time? Commercials make it look as if every food and pill and drink and whatever else is completely good for you. Some of those things they are making look good or helpful are really harmful!!! Basically they advertise it to make money off of the product. Then, when they get a complaint or two, then they release a commercial about *if you or someone you know took (insert drug, pill), please act fast. (drug, pill) has been found to be fatal and cause cancer and sickness. If your loved one or you has taken this product, please call (number). I see those commercials all the time. I think its sad that people actually think all those pills were really helping them, and then they just died cause the product was actually harmful in the first place. ///// |

What you're referring to are medications which actually do help. Often times, they are medications which allow the user to lead a "normal" life when they wouldn't be able to otherwise. The "has been found to be fatal" thing is called side-effects. I do believe that nearly all medications which are effective at helping one thing tend to increase other problems. It's a trade-off. And at the beginning of your post, you seem to be talking about things like diet pills, etc. I agree for the most part. However, if the American people are stupid enough to fall for it (which they are), then they deserve any terrible side-effects any such pills may have.

As long as someone is getting rich off it, I'm down with that.
It's called capitalism. Who cares if people die as long as someone gets rich from it? Not I. |
