Use lots of blinking crap and worthless animation.
What do you need? If you want like a generic ad banner, it's pretty easy. You make one keyframe that links to wherever it needs to go, then make a symbol for the things you want to blink or false buttons or whatever. For text that switches between one color and another, insert the text, make it a Movie Clip symbol, enter the keyframes specific for that symbol (double-click it), and make it change colors. Frame 1 = blue and frame 2 = red, for instance. As the main sequence is stopped (stop(); is the only code you need aside from the link to your site for on_release), it will just loop again and again. Hope that made sense. ~Squeek |

Use a whole lot of Tweens, use the colour mixer and make some flashy tweens.

Yeah, Tweening Motions are when you draw an object and right click-Create Motion Tween. Then you insert another keyframe(this is just an example) somwhere down the Keyframe Line. On the keyframe you just put, move the object to somwhere else on the screen. Viola! Play the movie and it will move it there on it's own!
**NOTE** The farther you put the ending keyframe, the slower the object will fo to it's destination. So the closer the keyframes are during a motion tween, the faster it'll move. SO MAKE SURE YOU PUT THAT ENDING KEYFRAME AT LEAST 2 KEYFRAMES AWAY FROM THE FIRST ONE! Otherwise, it will just jump to the destination as it would without Motion Tweening. So, that's a basic motion tween. Now you can make it more advanced. Give you any ideas? Are you excited now to test it all out!? =D |

I'd say the easiest way, would be to go to google, or some site like download.com and search Flash Banner Designer, or something along those lines, and it will have a bunch of programs, just download the most appropriate looking one for what you need, and its easy after you go in it.
