Default Silent hill

I was just wonering if anyone else has seen this movie. I saw it on friday and I personally thought it was a great movie. It was kinda slow in the beginning but after about the first half an hour to fourty five minutes the movie really picked up. It was alot bloodier and more gorey than I thought it was going to be which is a plus. The ending of the movie was great. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a great horror moive.

Make sure to sit through the credits, so you can hear Theme of Laura when it plays at the end.

Funny, I thought this movie would be just like Doom: a horrible movie that was first based on a video game. Now I stand corrected.

Now if you don't mind, I would be adding this onto my list of good video game movies *adds Silent Hill right by FFVII: AC*

It's not incredibly scary, but there are several disturbing and intense moments.

It's not scary in the sense that something unidentifiable is coming to get the main character, and fast. It's more intense, shocking moments. I really do enjoy horror films like these. The cinematography is the one thing everyone is talking about with this movie and it is incredible. Pyramid head was a plus.

Well, not the big spider mecha tentacle thing of doom. The part after that. The big thing at the end with the church was just dumb.

Other than those complaints, however, I highly enjoyed it. Definitely the best video game movie ever made.

And hearing all the classic music just made my day. Theme of Laura in a theater was AWESOME. Too bad they didn't credit Akira Yamaoka anywhere, though. That's my only other complaint. Maybe he just didn't want to be credited or something?

But yeah, I'll give it a 4.5/5. Too bad a lot of parts don't make sense unless you've played the games; I had to explain a lot of it to my dad.

This movie had me shaking in my tennis! It was so scary. I kept saying to myself, "Please don't turn nighttime! Please don't turn nighttime! Because of PYRAMID HEAD!!!!!!! He is freaky. He just pulled that girl apart! And his sword is ridiculous!!!!! He gave me nightmares. He is the reason I am afraid of the dark. But on a less insane note, this movie was very interesting: I did not know who to root for in the end. The protagonist and antagonist are up to the viewer's discretion, i believe. It made me kinda want to play the video game. Too bad they don't make it for gamecube. Great Movie. Brilliantly made.

foolface - can I ask your age?

I wanted to see this when it came out. Tried to convince my girlfriend to go to the cinema with me to see it (no mates could be bothered) but she said no, couldn't be bothered going on my own. Then she goes and sees it on pirate tape and says it was great.

Damn her. Damn silent hill.
