Rentway is full of ****...for several reasons.
1. They make you pay like a 300% interest tax. 2. They have dissatisfied me as a customer. 3. No technical Help. 1'. I get this laptop. Usually cost around 700 dollars. We are paying 1000 dollars for it, its a one year thing and then its mine, and its insane. I should pay like 800 dollars...and thats not the only thing we have rented from them. A table, Dell Comp, my laptop, a TV i think, and other stuff. 2'. I have sent my laptop away to get it's screen fixed. I don't know what happened to it so they sent it away to be fixed. I was told 2 weeks until I get it back. Now it's anywhere from 6-8 weeks. Assholes. 3'. When I did call to see what was wrong with my laptop, they guy just said, "Bring it in so we can check it out, but it will cost you $35 for us to look at it." I was like, "Uhhh, can you just help me see what is wrong with it on the phone for like $34.90 cheaper?" He said, "No. Just bring it it." So I take it there, pay my 35, and I still havent gotten it back. Damn Rentway.

Why not just BUY stuff?
HP has the most ridiculously awesome repair policies ever, as long as its under warranty.

Yeah, I agree, wouldn't buying something be a lot cheaper over the long run?
Really... EDIT Then again, if you already have something (i.e. computer), and it is away being repaired, and you really need what is being repaired for work, then I could see you renting it. Last edited by LordKratosAurion; 03-28-2006 at 05:41 PM.. |

If you have the money then buying is definitely the better way to go.

my dad is actually leasing a car he has it for 3 years then he gets a new model and he just pays a third of waht he would if he bought a new car.
Also one of my friends rented out a T.V. from one of those companies the thing broke 2 weeks later and he had to pay for the whole thing becuase they deemed it was his fault it broke

Yes. I am not the one renting. My parents are. They didn't tell me until I said...Hey wtf is this rentway sticker doing on here! And then it broke like 2 weeks later. Should get it back soon. And when I do I am throwing this POS loaner laptop out of the car into rentways front window.

![]() If you have the money, building your own computer is definitely the way to go. Laptops aren't good for anything unless you're using it for class or are on the road a lot. |
