Another delay! HOORAH!
I called Brunswick Zone last night, and apparently, the machine is in Illinois. However, parts needed to build it are in some other state. I have no idea what that means in terms of the machine, but this does mean that at the earliest, it will be in late next week. This monotony tells me we'll be waiting a lot longer than we initially expected to.

Sort of like my arcade. We waited for 6 months for it to come. June-Dec. When it came, half of the parts were missing. Just before Christmas, we got them in a put it all together.

A new web page for DDR Supernova popped up on Konami's Japanese website: Lightdarkness - 55
http://www.konami.co.jp/am/aou2006/ddr_sn/ Yeah, a pic of the machine, and some aspects of the game to look foward to... But this caught my attention. ![]() Aside from an E-Amuse pass showing up on the page, I want everyone to take note of the design. Why is there an image of a global map on the pass? Even though this is likely only a temporary design if the E-Amuse system will be used, it sure is interesting.

Well, it's been quite a while, and I've put it off... but it's time to reveal what I've known for a few days but was too lazy to post.
DDR SuperNOVA is NOT going to BZ Naperville. Phooey. It's going to the HIP... Harlem-Irving Plaza. Along with... an ITG2 dedicab. This means that BZ Naperville has been lying to me (and all of us) the entire time. I have half a mind to call them with my computer mic ready to go and record a conversation with the game room manager, or the tech, and expose their treachery. But I think there's some kind of law against it. I've been to the HIP, and getting there is no big deal. The only issue now is: when will it arrive? I've been alerted that it will be sometime this week. Hopefully, it will be there by Friday, when I have the day off. Exclusive photos and videos ahoy!

They don't have anything about it posted on their website. I did find directions quite easily on their page, so I'll spare you having to try to explain them over the internet.
ps: wtf lol ![]()

I hate misinformation. GO TO HELL, HIP SUPPORTERS. There's a picture of it at BZN on DDRFreak. I've been to BZN so I know what it looks like there. That's definitely where it is. OK. To Naperville we go.

Fascination Maxx extra stage WITH VIDEO, 41 Greats, 1 Good, 1 Almost, 1 Miss -- at least 2 of which were pad noncombos. As-is, there is NO chance of FCing this song on those pads. It was a miracle to even combo songs on those pads, even though they're new. They're horrible pads. Also, no bass -- all treble, lol. I will post video & pics after Greek today (in about 2 hrs?).

Yes, I heard about that, unfortunately. Hopefully the reason they suck is because they just need to be broken in...Then again, BZN isn't known for quality pads anyway, is it?
However, I heard through the grapevine that the HIP is still getting a machine. Can anyone confirm/deny this with 100% accuracy?

Not sure. This wasn't an upgrade -- this was a new dedicated cabinet w/ new pads. *frown* BZ's ITG pads were heretical, though, lol.

OOO my prediction is almost right. Some almost got a AAA. Just get better pads and I'm correct.

Hm. Sterf, is the off-sync at least playable? If it's remotely decent then I guess I'll still check it out. It looks pretty bad from that video though. =/ BTW, good job on it. =)

A lot of the newer songs are very playable. Innocence of Silence is lots of fun, Stars is dead on. Toxic is a bit early, and so is Nijiiro, but they're playable. Stuff like Paranoia Respect and Maximizer were nearly a full 1/8 note off. Xenon was no fun -- it was worse than Hyper Euro. Yeah, just play some of the newer stuff. Not Centaur -- that had absolutely no sync.
Here's a vid of some of the worse stuff including Maximizer: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...225&q=dj+sterf |

It's time. The Chicago natives nforcer, Neonatrias, and Kenzya will all be up at BZN today, leaving with everyone at about 12:30, arriving around 1:30. We'll return with pictures (maybe videos) and feedback on the machine. I won't be posting our pictures anywhere else. You guys are getting an exclusive look at SuperNOVA.

How many Chicago natives are registered on forums and are ready to take a million pictures just for their members? It's a stretch. You guys will be the first and only to see the most detailed photos... until they leak.

Good point.
Even if they do leak, we'll be the first ones. Unless no one logs on for weeks. |
