Well you See Animal Crossing DS is a sandbox game.
You start by moving into a pretty crappy town and get to your house only to find out that some sneaky raccon called Nook wants you to pay alot for this house. Since you have no money you have to work for him and pay it off.
You start in a pretty average low class town as you scrounge for money to pay of debts other Animals will move in and you can either become great friends with them or great enemies and trust me they remember.
It is all based on your real life sceduale. You basicly want to build up your town and house to look the best there is.

I admit usually I don't love these type of games but damn it is the most addicting thing you will play ever. you will be reaching for your DS to play. And what adds to this is the online game 4 people can cruse around in your town or you can cruise in theirs. This makes things 10 times as better to play too.

I cant wait. =D The concept of Animal Crossing is just made so much better on the DS.

Perks!
1. Now that it's online, people can visit your town from anywhere, in their own homes. Awesome.
2. Now that it's portable, it seems much easier to play a little every day. If you have a little spare time during the day, you can just check in on your little town so easily. Awesome. (It must be a mental thing, but I'm much more likely to play a handheld system than a TV console if I don't have at least an hour to play...)
3. Er... small thing, but it's a little bit faster to type letters and such with the stylus than with a controller. Yay!

If I don't get this for Christmas, I'll likely be buying it soon after, so expect me online within a month. =D

One question, for those who have the game already: do animals still move out when you visit other towns? >_> That was something I really didn't like about visiting others on the GCN version. It was always my favorite animals who left. =(

It's usually only one animal that leaves.

I'll likely be getting Animal Crossing for Christmas because it was at the top of my list. I know I'm getting a wireless router too, so I'll let you guys know what my friend code is as soon as I get it.

Oh, and blitzmage, you still haven't told me where you got your avatar. I MUST know.

My sister bought it and she's going to be really obsessed with it. She took the time to get like four million bells in the first one.

So yeah, if anybody's looking for someone to just talk about the game with, pm me and I'll get her/my town code out.

Animal Crossing is a boring non-game, only appealing to the casual demographic who find absurd enjoyment from non-games such as The Sims.

Anyone who plays this game is a low-class, inbred moron, with no concept of what an actual game is.

(That means I don't like it very much.)

I really can't explain what type of game it is. It's pretty unique It's nothing like the sims but it is a sandbox game (starting with nothing and building up)

I knew someone would get that reference. It's kind of nostalgic, too...in which I had played Golden Sun and my town in the original Animal Crossing.

Everybody, keep your gates open while you play so that your friends can come into you town via Wi-Fi.
