For all who have submitted thus far using a dash ( - ) to separate song name from patterns, please use colons ( : ) instead.

Example of how using dashes prevents automating the task:

Since I separate song name from patterns using Python, it is very difficult for the program to know what is what when the same separator is used on two different fields.
In this case if it were to try and separate the song name from patterns by dashes, it would turn into

Quote:

Song Name: The Little Devil's Heart
Patterns: Pounding Amusement Park [Heavy], 16th jumpstreams

Which breaks it.

Correct example:

The Little Devil's Heart-Pounding Amusement Park [Heavy] : 16th jumpstreams, 24th & 32nd bursts, 8th jacks | Certain

There are around 124 files in game with a dash in the name, but only 8 have a colon which reduces the workload on me.

Also in case there is any confusion on certainty, each song label only needs one certain/uncertain tag. Do not label specific patterns as certain/uncertain.

Thanks for the submissions! If you wouldn't mind, please convert the labels to the correct syntax.

Example of correct submission syntax:

Basically just make sure to separate the song name from the patterns with a colon instead of a dash, and add the certainty tag at the end separated by a |

Since I am using a script to convert all of these labels into the spreadsheet, if the syntax isn't exactly how I've listed it in the OP, it will fail. I've tried to also be able to use submissions with dashes separating the song name, but in submissions with multiple dashes in it like the one I quoted it can't distinguish the song name from the patterns.

I am still working on a script that will allow me to add all of these to the spreadsheet automatically, once it's finished you'll start seeing the spreadsheet updated.

Any labels submitted past this point will not be accepted unless the label format is followed. I've spent too much time trying to make my script account for people not following the guidelines set in the OP. I can understand that I may not have explained the syntax very well, so I will elaborate here.

I can easily and automatically convert labels in this format

^ This label uses a dash to separate the song name from the patterns. This is incorrect syntax, it always needs to be a colon, not a dash.

(16th Rolls | Uncertain)

^ This label has a second uncertain tag, which is incorrect syntax. A label should only have one certain/uncertain tag denoting the certainty of all patterns in the label. You are either sure about every single pattern, or unsure about any one of them.

^ This label has a comment right below it. If you have a long wall of labels with comments in-between some of them, I cannot copy and paste your labels into my script which is very inconvenient. Please keep your comments about your labels more clearly separated from the labels themselves, like at the bottom of the post.

^ This label has "color theory" in it, which is not a pattern in the patterns list in the OP, so it will be ignored by my script. Please only put patterns that are shown in the patterns list in your labels.

if you're not already doing this approach, a google form which records to the spreadsheet that has a bunch of syntactically correct checkboxes would save everyone involved a ton of time cross-referencing and formatting. As it stands rn, it's a bit of a chore.

I presume the syntax is there to eventually be integrated into the engine in some form or another so I get why it's necessary to keep everything in standard groups
