Damn that's really impressive perfectly AAAing the [13][24] split part into split roll into 123412[34] speedup roll bullshit at the "oh come on" voice clip.
I could never get that. The part where you dumped a bunch of ugly stuff and went up to 12 goods is definitely the hardest part of the file for me. There's two rolls with a [14][23] between them, then some dense JS after that wrecks you if you're trying to catch up from doing any of the roll transitions wrong. Looks like D5 is really going to be tested on stamina with this round. The file really has no breaks - not even the DARUDE SANDSTORM section can save you

RIP me D2 too OP. To be fair I already knew I wouldn't make it to the finals because no time and I was already hitting the top of my skill level in round 6.
Anyways, the tourney was really fun. I managed to get 4th despite expecting to be out by round 3 or 4 when I first signed up, so I definitely skillboosted a lot. Thanks to everyone who was involved with running the tournament smoothly, I really appreciate your effort. Good luck to all of the finalists, particularly Felyx/Kriptos/Stopmovin ![]() |

So, there goes day 1 of the 8th round.
I've developed a depression just because i'm not on the lead anymore, it's weird, i know, but it can happen It's 2:26 am now at the time i'm writing this, so, that means that i've been trying to beat Ghostly's score for 4 fucking hours now, with no success at all. I have no idea why, maybe it's the AC. but who the fuck knows, i'm sad now.

I found this round d3 to be easier than the last one. Great chart, will keep playing it.
Aragami ending is real rough, this is a huge step up from the last round. I did pretty well for the first half, ending is where most of my score comes from. |

You don't have to win your division within 5 hours of the songs going up, the round is a week long for a reason. I mean, I feel your pain (I got second in D5 on a long, draining hi19hi19 finals chart last tournament lmao) but honestly playing the same thing for 4 hours is generally not a good idea. You fall into bad habits and discourage yourself. Gotta break it up with different songs, stop and take a moment to stretch here and there, all that good stuff. Especially since the D5 chart is pretty relentless and hard on stamina, you've gotta take it easy on yourself. The worst thing to do is convince yourself you've lost, you know?

Well, congrats StopMovin and Kriptos. I've done the best I can with a broken finger. You definitely deserve the win, though. On that note, it's been fun people, but I'm joining the goodbye crew. Do me a favor and split my 3rd place credits between 1st and 2nd equally. Good luck to all remaining competitors! @Winrar you better bring home the gold.

Even properly warmed up I don't think I'll come close to what the other two get so I'm not going to set aside time for that. Shocked that I got 3rd though given how fucking rusty I was (and still am).
I do think Undici is SDGable though, and the preview reminds me of the Gigadelic we once had in game. Best file this round is def odd22 though holy fuck (sorry corn). Last edited by smartdude1212; 08-13-2016 at 04:00 PM.. |

Thanks to all of those cheering me on. Raise your hands in the air to give me your strength!
I do need some tips on Aragami, anyone know some songs possibly similar in speed to practice or warm up with before going hard in the paint? The ending JS is relentless and I only got 1 nice run in isolation which was 20 goods lmao. |

the 24ths in aragami work out to being slightly less than 300bpm, so practicing 300bpm streams should help...try ultrasounds or the intro streams in rave7, or even eclipse on 0.9
will still be a bit problematic since the hard sections in aragami are short jumpstreams and not pure streaming, and nothing really exists on FFR atm that emphasizes short jumpstreams at that bpm...you could try practicing j'ai envie which has broken jumpstreams slightly above 280 but those 32nd spurts are more jack-heavy so I'm not sure it'd be of much help if you're having trouble keeping up with the 16th jumpstream, there's a ton of files in the 200bpm range to practice on (love and justice, etude for the sinners, ascension to heaven, pants (lol), EHHS 1.1) Last edited by One Winged Angel; 08-13-2016 at 07:30 PM.. |

The 24th JS bursts in Schur's Theorem on 1.1 rate are almost exactly the same stuff.
