I don't think I've ever actually had pain where it hurts just to touch o_O Perhaps there are some other issues causing that.
My normal training "regime" is to start off with songs at my level, and play progressively harder and harder things throughout the day until I end off songs way above me, like difficulty 75 songs, I just play until I'm sweating and physically can't play more lol. By the end, forearms and fingers are sore and tired, but it isn't extremely painful. |

When you feel pain, your body politely tries to tell you to stop playing.

you should always take breaks when playing and not no like 5 minute breaks in a block that thick, you REALLY don't wanna over do it because the constant pain you'll deal with afterwards isn't worth it. Imagine it getting bad enough that if you went to pick up a 5 pound box, there's a 50% chance you'd drop it take better care of your self ![]() Last edited by XelNya; 07-25-2016 at 03:59 PM.. |

Take like a 20 minute break and watch a tv show or a youtube vid or something. Your brain might say yes atm, but your body will thank you down the line.

This post is strictly related to playing Melee, but the tips and stretches apply well here as well. Your body is important, take care of it!
http://www.meleeitonme.com/beware-of...ng-and-breaks/ Since you've been doing long, long sessions though I'd recommend avoiding the stretches until your forearms and wrists feel well rested so as to not overexert them.

Hey I have the same problem as you. I think it is just because we are new players (both are profiles were created about a month ago) so it will probably take some time to build up the stamina. I started off playing about a 100 games a day bc of how addicting this game is
but after a couple weeks my hands hurt pretty bad. I took a few days off and now only play about 25-50 games a day and my hands/forearms feel minimal pain. So yeah pretty much what everyone else said lol take a break or play less games per day. If you play spread maybe try different setups, I'm currently using ZX23 and it feels pretty comfortable to me. |

Keep this up and you will end up with tendinitis. You are stretching and causing micro tears in the tendons that reach from your elbow to your hand, which leads to inflammation and compression on the nerves, especially the median nerve.
The only reason i know all this is because i have tendonitis currently and am having to take a break from gaming to let my arms and wrists heal. I also know how hard it is to force yourself to take a break, especially if you are improving well, as i was before this happened to me, but your arms/wrists are more important than your improvement, and no you are not invisible, the more you play through the pain, the more damage you will do. |
