To keep it short, I need a laptop for college. I'd imagine every laptop has the necessities for college tasks but it'd be nice if it can run SM smoothly as well, assuming I can't bring my gaming computer due to the relatively small dorms lol.
Price range is approximately $350-500. Any help is appreciated!

The laptop I'm running sm on right now is the Lenovo Ideapad s210. I bought it CAD$400 two years ago at Costco. It's a budget laptop with intel Pentium on it, nothing flashy. It was enough to wow Hakulyte when he tried to play sm on it too (I'd like it if he saw the thread and could tell his experience)
Here are its specs out of the box: ![]() I don't think it's easy to find anymore, so if you're interested in this avenue, might as well check what's the current ultraportable model Lenovo is producing these days. |

you should move your fingers so fast that it'll resonate matter on a frequency that you can mold and shape ordinary house hold grade garlic bread into a high powered portable machine for the arrow smashing

if you want something with a semi-decent keyboard that registers with less input delay, probably asus in general.
I have an MSI laptop (1000$ tho) and it has a 0.2 visual delay and it's annoyinggggggggg on games you can't adjust it

i have to agree with choof. buying refurbished pc parts is a maybe, buying a used laptop (unless it's from a friend and you know they took good care of it) is never a good idea.

I used to play on a pretty cheap toshiba years ago and my MA was great on it.
jacks were really difficult though and vibrating was impossible.

I feel like I should've noted this. I will be using my q-pad with this laptop so I don't need to worry about the keyboard. I just want something that won't have much input/visual delay at all.
