Hoping our residential D3/D4 GOAT pulls it off.

yeah can't even get close to 99% so not even gonna bother submitting
w/e EDIT: you can go ahead and end the tournament now if you want, i don't have to time to play for the rest of the round anyway EDIT2: wow i sound really salty reading this again, I'm just mad at myself because I probably can get a good score on HI but i cant seem to get more than 972xx which sucks I guess that's happens when you get 95's in d6 amirite

This thing ends tomorrow and I don't think anything's gonna change at this point so I may as well write my thoughts about this.
Deadlyx and preggers actually did a fantastic job running this. When the one day extensions happened (for no reason) at least it was when it was down to the final few players and not when everyone was participating. PM's came at a timely manner (for me that is) and even reminders that a round was ending soon. Only thing I didn't like about this tourney was (like Deadlyx said) rounds started at songs too high of difficulty. This isn't too big of a deal though. I DO like how some toes were stepped on as songs were picked against certain players. Reason behind it is because preggers knows a lot of people's weaknesses and wanted them to overcome them (correct me if I'm wrong though.) Also I did think picking a 95 for D6 was just too extreme. Could have been like a 93 or something, but that's just me. Overall I think this is proof enough that a bracket tourney CAN be done. Round lengths were perfect, seeding procedures worked out fine (although it never mattered in the first place) and the concept of winning each round was fair enough for all divisions. Good job guys. ![]()

The thing with the difficulty situation in this tournament is that it started too high, and they didn't correct it by shrinking the overall difficulty jumps throughout the rounds. The other problem is that compared to D3-D4 that has a few hundred songs in the ranges, D6-D7 has less than 36% of the songs in their respective ranges. 99% on a 95 is pretty much putting you in low D7 anyways, so that is where it was skewed. The idea behind this tournament was great, the players were very sportsmanlike and, I can't believe I'm saying this, but a successful tournament from FFR's Favorite GOAT and Buckethead Deadly. I applaud the work put into this and it was fun to spectate.

a lot of complacency on my part with song picks i saw the growing gap between the lower and upper divisions and there was nothing preventing me from picking any difficulties i wanted at any point to make things more fair but i didn't see any complaints so i just let it go does that make me a bad host? you bet but ya know what they say
ok tyvm for the kind words zenith and badman maybe i'll give something like this a try when i fall in love with ffr again

That's a Wrap! Well after nearly two months of grinding the tournament is finally over. Congratulations to our winner poulice and to the all the other keysmashers that made this a fun event to host. While it wasn't without its faults, I think this tournament was still a successful one that can hopefully see a rise in bracket tournies on FFR. FINAL STANDINGS 1st: poulice 2nd: ItsOnlyDanO 3rd: gold stinger 4th: FFR Pro 21 T5th: awein999 & kacper_w T7th: KLiTz & Riotpolice T9th: badman7772, ggsnipes, MyNameIsNothing and Funnygurl555 T13th: sickufully, ShadowDueler97, Deidara837, and One Winged Angel T17th: Candor, SuperNOVA Gian, lurker, subin, Kawaii025, csoup1414, remedy1502 and PhantomPuppy T25th: MarcusHawkins, Defluxit, Guest15937, Red Blaster, danceflashrevo and Axith T30th: portalbob340, basicdrummerman, ssbmchamp and beeattack If you don't see your username up there, it is because you did not submit a score during the non-qualifying rounds. I offer my sincerest condolences ![]() (NOTE: preggers and I are still working out the credit distribution. You should get your credits some time tonight or tomorrow, but I promise within the next 24 hours. |

I'd also like to thank everyone who participated in this tourney. Probably wasn't the prettiest tourney in the world, but I loved the sportsmanship and rivalries created here. Maybe a little bit later I'll host another tournament, but I don't know for sure.
Thank you all though for making this a hell of a good time. |

Great tournament, thank you both for hosting. 2 months for a tournament is a long time, I'm impressed we only had a few mishaps happen along the way. Thanks again, see you soon!
