I dont know how many people know of it, or how many times it been brought up here, but to be honest, I dont care. Audiotron's song (Katz) from the Public R2 beta, is stolen, from another artist who was nice enough to include that replicated 303 made from the FL Studio 3xosc. If you dont believe me, feel free to download a copy of the demo and load up the templet songs (Http://www.flstudio.com). I'm asking this song be removed completely or the owner of Fl Studio (Gol) will be alerted.
On another note, for all of you wanna-be artists and up-and-coming artists, stop stealing other peoples songs, melodys, synths, riffs, etc etc, and claiming them as your own. Learn to be more creative, if you CANT make a song without deconstructing someone else's, music is not for you. |

nice catch... mychilli this is fairly serious, they've already removed one song from ffr because it was copied from a FL demo song.

I believe FFR was informed of this a long while ago. Nothing ever happened though, at least, not that I know of.

I believe we realized the song was very similar (There were some differences) and Spook tried to contact the rightful owner, I'm not sure if he got a response one way or another, but i'll ask Spook and we'll take the appropriate action.

Haha. I found this months ago. I posted about it months ago. I sent Spook a mp3 of the sample in FL months ago to prove that it's exactly the same thing.
Nothing came from it though.

Talk to Soccr
If not, it simply requires a small artist change |

Orrrr... we can go about our lives and stop complaining about it. Its not like anybody is making a huge money profit from it all. Most people download the FL demo and then use a stolen key or hack it to get the full ver. for free ripping of the people making the program anyway. not saying that i've done that before....
j/k god dont take me seriously. and watch sombody will like they always do....

Well seeing as how i've been a producer for several years, I would also be a bit pissed off if some little scrub stole my work and claimed it, and iit is quite a big deal. And in no way did he even bother to change the song at all, except the BPM, the automated filtering is exactly the same, same riffs, and Gol has already been contacted about it. Gol is the owner of FL and someone I know personally, so it will be taken care of one way or another.

having a song that is completely identical to another isnt right, but you can take an existing riff and expand onto it with your own creativity... its how music is made... everything starts from something else.... inspiration is the heart of what we desire to make... we might hear a small riff on the radio and think ... hmm this sounds so cool, and i want to make it sound better, and then you go and attempt to improve that which has already been done, thereby making the original music better, but also contributing something worthwhile to the community. It's bliss.
