http://www.azcentral.com/news/politi...statement.html
"“After weighing all of the arguments, I have vetoed Senate Bill 1062 moments ago,” Brewer told the media at a brief 5:45 p.m. news conference. “To the supporters of this legislation, I want you to know that I understand that long-held norms about marriage and family are being challenged as never before. Our society is undergoing many dramatic changes. However, I sincerely believe that Senate Bill 1062 has the potential to create more problems than it purports to solve.”" and not only was this bill a thing, but actual human beings are outraged that it got vetoed. thoughts? My first thoughts when I saw the thread title were about how good an Arizona tea sounds right now.

damn RINOs, man.
Real republicans wouldn't have caved to pressure from the elitist homosexual agenda. I'm one of the few "real mans" remaining in America and will do all I can to seize this plague.

I'd just like to point out how remarkable of a word "vetoed" is

i could care less about this bill but ultimately believe that private businesses should reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. the thing is that if they do it they will lose business and ultimately go under so it's all on themselves

Yeah Arizona is pretty backwards. Not only did they decide to bring this up right when it was announced that a super bowl would be held in Phoenix, but the bill question is completely redundant since business can decide to not serve anyone regardless anyways.

Ambulance driver, Doctor, Cop? This was a hell of a lot farther reaching than just restaurants who, while they can refuse service to anybody, would otherwise have had to at least manufacture another reason why not besides "I don't like them there queer ******s" |

The fact this was even attempted is pretty laughable.

It passed. It made it all the way through their legislative system and was about to enter law until the governor vetoed it at the last minute. If they'd had a more hardline republican governor, it would be law right now.

Small towns here are worse. For serious, our biggest problems are drugs and STDs, but the people continually complain about building another bridge across the colorado. What's worse is that the mayor hasn't done anything in the last 10 years he's been in office.
