The whip is a nasty file. I like it, but I can't really get a good score on it at all. Time to force a skillboost

Great files so far but it's too bad there always seems to be syncing issues, I had to play Stories Can Wait and Guile of the Rime King on mute because they were offsync; the latter seemed to be onsync for the first 20 or so seconds and then lagged behind the music afterwards.
Mirage Garden is great, good job ilikexd! Were any parts of this chart influenced/affected by GLoVE? Only saying that because you both charted it for ODI3. |

Very Grave Indeed

To play along with the music on the D2 song, I'm rocking a 4 frame offset. Which is doing gross things to how the song looks.

Is the song really that far off-sync for you? All of the songs seem to play alright now.

I do owe some credit to GLoVE because originally in February I had made a very easy, underlayered, bland/plain chart for ODI3 much earlier this year. He still accepted it, though, but he liked the song a lot and wanted to collaborate on a harder difficulty. So he took the easy chart and layered on top of it every last instrument in the song so there were jumpstreams and polyrhythms in lots of places, even the quiet parts. I also made my own contributions to the harder chart including fixing some errors he made. But a while after its release I wasn't really happy with it because of how many errors it had and how way over-the-top every part of it was (truly an exemplar of a GLoVE file, just not my thing) that I decided to redo it basically from scratch for FFR. So I can thank him for the inspiration to make it, but the steps weren't influenced.

Mirage Garden, Guile of the Rime King, and Reading for Days are cash money.
Finding it hard to imagine a better round 1 file for D7

Mirage Garden is one of the funnest FFR files ever and didn't feel anywhere close to 4 minutes.
Thanks for an amazing round 1 file to kick the official off! |

Something clever.

Definitely agree with this. It has a pretty good amount of technical elements to trip up people, more so than others in the 54 range for sure. 58 might be its upper end.

I called myself underrating The Whip, and it looks like I was right.
I'll let Rob adjust the difficulty for that one -- after taking a look at it again, I'm thinking 56 personally, but I'm pretty good at technical files too. |

Stories can wait is the best opening file to a tourney I've played so far. Even though my skill level has dropped and I know I probably won't last past round 2 (if I make it that far) I will be playing this file loads for the AAA as its really damn fun (keep derping goods on easy parts, have had a run where I AAA the jacks and the awkward parts after them
)

That is actually where i would have placed it too to be honest. Really fun file though. <3 Glitch-hop.
As for D5's file, Enjoyed the file though those 16ths mini-jacks are pretty brutal compared to everything else in that file, though honestly its a good file, we could use more Neurofunk in FFR <3. |
