You guys know your stuff right?
The Internet cannot answer me this question. Why won't my Intuos4 show up on my computer? At first, it worked perfectly fine. I downloaded the drivers, worked great, no problems. One day, doesn't light up. I troubleshoot. Internet tells me to unplug, uninstall the driver, reinstall the driver, plug back in. WORKED! Until now. Now I cant get it to work, whatsoever, and it is NOT broken. ![]() |

I am kinda not one of those ppl but my experience with the occasional annoyance of tablets could help.
Check if tablet is detected through the device manager, check for specific usb ports you use. If it is there then try to see if you can meddle with the property. If it is not there check if light of tablet is on when your pen is in contact with the tablet, if not either pen battery(if needed) or usb port problem, assuming your tablet for sure is not dead. Check if usb ports enable or try other usb ports. Check tablet pc settings and pen and touch settings. btw, what brand? edit: fme, i blame being half asleep. I had that same problem with my too. It would show as connected but it would just not move. End up being a software issue for me. Needed a few reinstalls, and eventually a new and updated driver from Wacom. Try different way of installing the driver. I did compatibility modes, auto update, manual update, rollback, clearing registry...all that fancy stuff just to try to get it back online before. for a product like this they really need a more solid software support + w7 integration and maybe w7 tablet function override.

Wacom Intuos4.
Anyway. I know you've already done it, but sometimes, installing drivers can go wrong, so TRY reinstalling those again. Doubt it'll help, but it's worth a try. If that doesn't work, do what Rene said above. Try different USB ports. Maybe try using compressed air to clean out the USB ports. I know that's been a problem for me before. It could just be a software issue, too. You never really know for sure. |
