How would cleaning your keyboard improve performance? Like, I agree that you should clean it regularly, but...

Doesn't improve performance but it DOES decrease the chance of your fingers slipping off the keys.

F**kin noobs. Take a key off, you might be suprised by the amount of sh*tthat's under it. Like, all the crap will decrease the connection when the key is pressed, clean it out and you have full motion so to speak.
Also, I make epic sub burger noms

I'm beyond curious to know how dirty your kb used to be if cleaning it actually produced some sort of skill boost

Interesting that you're such a disgusting person that you somehow got shit jammed into the switch/under the membrane.

Cleaning a keyboard can improve performance on a flatter keyboard since there's less space between the keys and the contact. But it shouldn't be anything ridiculously noticeable - if anything, it should stop the occasional random boo or two.

Maybe you should stop eating so much over your keyboard. Then food crumbs, and whatever else won't get stuck under the keys.

I clean out my keyboard by tapping out some of the stuff and then manually getting something to pick up some of the stuff from the holes between the keys. My keyboard rarely gets that dirty. I'm actually a bit OCD about keeping these things clean, but not really OCD by its definition. I don't usually clean it out because I either don't know how to or don't have the materials necessary to do it. Simple as dat.

Even if it doesn't produce a skill boost, I still say cleaning one's KB is well worth the effort. (Canned air works best for this, if only because I have one of those mini-vacuums and it doesn't do shit for my Dell RT7D20.)
