Default Here We Go!!!

Gonna put my remaining FGO FCs in this thread rather than shitting up the FFR Scores thread with ugly mashed scores.

Awful song, awful steps, long. Basically I hate this file. Mashed the 2 bursts, of course, tried to do everything else legit but I derped a lot.

FINALLY got this. That ending is such a pain in the ass, wow. I love the 24th jumpstream section in the middle... It's a good thing too because I've played this file an awful lot recently >_<

Tried to do the jack section legit many times, then I gave up and was like, "I'll ****** mash every jack I see" then I FC'd in three tries. Surprisingly fun file, I thought I wasn't going to like it but it's well made.

Mashed everything.

Mashed all the fast bursts, so about 50% of the file. It's mostly a fun file when playing legit but the really fast green arrow spam sections are too much for me, not fast enough yet to hit them.

FINALLY got this. Played it hundreds of times and always managed to miss somewhere around 800-900 combo due to nerves. Boos are mostly from mashing the 1-handed trills. I can read this easily but the patterns are so horrid, it's totally different from every other stream file in FFR and a real challenge to actually hit, despite the fact it's very slow for an FGO.

So the question is: What do you folks think is the best order for me to approach the last few FCs? This is all I have left:
(for public songs, that is. There's a list of token songs I don't have on my profile but that comes later)

In my opinion, you need to get DP and RATO out of the way asap. RATO is really stupid patterns throughout the entire file, DP has that really nasty trill at the end. After whoring those two, all the other songs will be kinda easy.

Hardest FC's for you to get imo are probably going to be DP and RE

Well, by my count you only need 3-4 more.

I'd recommend J'ai Envie first for the simple reason that you're better at fast stuff than I am, and there's some horrid 32nd stream interspersed with 16th jacks. (Come on, bro, I have a higher MC than that.)

Kidney Stone is mighty difficult to read because of the double BPM turning it into 8ths, but you're almost there in terms of combo, so go for that one next.

I'm tempted to suggest M8BT because the patterns aren't hard, just brutally fast. Frame quantization makes the trills easier to treat as jumpjacks than on SM.

Getting a Death Piano FC is nuts. The trill takes a lot of practice to time and mash through if you aren't fast enough. Practice the isolation file and figure out some way to transfer to an overlay setup (i.e. play arrow keys only or something like LShift/Z/=/backspace) and turn it into a huge jumptrill.

RATO FC is pretty much a luck shot. It takes a ton of stamina to get through the file even without mashing, and there are some nasty 48th note bursts in random spots. Figure out where they are, and overmash the sections immediately before that so you have enough of a buffer in the timing window to support all of the arrows.

WWE is all about stamina. The patterns themselves aren't horribly difficult until the end, where you have a mess of 16th/24th polyrhythms - if you can't figure out the pattern, you can turn all of the 16ths/24ths that are right next to each other into jumps to reduce the amount of effort needed. Making it through this entire song with an FC at this skill level (not intended to be disrespectful, don't take it as such) is very difficult with the constant jacks interrupting the streams, so don't be afraid to overshoot them a bit for a buffer to keep the 24th running going.

La Campanella is actually not horribly difficult to FC if you can get past the jacks. Being that the file is trill based, you can avoid a lot of boos by just sub-dividing all of the trills into half-speed jumps (i.e. 16th jumps instead of 32nd trills).

Magical 8-Bit Tour: mash the dense jumps if you can't read it - turn the trills into 16th jump jacks if you can handle it, otherwise, mash through them - not too hard of a FC either.

J'ai: straight up mash the middle. The speed required for this is nuts.

DeVouR: shouldn't be too bad. Just watch for some of the awkward bursts.

Rage Template: another one you can go after early - just watch out for the 32nd/48th walls.

RAN: difficult. Watch out for that mid-section - those trills are VERY fast. Over-trill them if necessary.

A Quick Death: not much to say here. Haul ass, and mash where the chart becomes dense with 32nd+ bursts.

Kidney Stone: fairly easy to mash FC if needed, but at least go for a good score in the first half, since it's manageable. Don't be afraid to overshoot a few of the bursts while the huge 8th note jumpstream is going on to ensure that you land back into constant streaming. If the jumpstream is a bit too fast, it's very easy to push trudge through with a ton of boos/averages.

Revo: just ****** mash the ending. It's horrible but it's really easy.

RAN should be do-able, you just gotta work with some of the patterns. Light mashing is reasonable in that one with the exception of those trills I forgot about til now.

If you're going for getting this done soon, ****** mash the hard parts of Rage Template, it's not excessively fast if you're jumptrilling things that are jumptrillable.

Not sure what you can really pull out on good runs on most of the rest so I don't really know what else to suggest. Perhaps A Quick Death and maybe Kidney Stone, but that has some gay fast patterns in it and I don't know what your stream capabilities are right now.

If you really want Here We Go, focus on FC'ing now, figure out PA later when you've had more practice on files like these and can keep up with more of the patterns. I got Here We Go a while back, and when I did I said to hell with PA, I just want my token. I had songs with 200+ boos. In all honesty the pressure for performing well on those songs is a lot less when you have already FC'd them, so it might even help your PA in the future if you just try to knock them out now. But I know some people are morally opposed to ****** mashing, so it's ultimately up to you bro.

No disrespect meant whatsoever, hope none of that came off as such.

I think you'll have Here We Go by the end of the week.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Probably going to give more tries tonight, I like going for hard FCs.

I am "morally opposed" to ****** mashing, but only when my morals suit my needs. If there's a token to be had, to hell with morals :P

And no, I play askl spread... not sure where you got the impression I play 1-handed.

Yay mashing =] lawlawlawl.

It's okay. Because once you get the FC's and move on with life, it'll be less pressure for you to do well on the song and FC it, and you can focus more on PA'ing as well. That's why I am missing a few FC's I should have, I've become so PA focused that FC'ing is derpy for me on those songs and I never can anymore with good PA.

A victory for ****** mashing
Did this not warmed up, literally. It's super cold in my house and my hands are like icy claws, I can't even really move my fingers so all I can do is jumptrill and hope for the best until the heat comes on lol

Probably trying Rage Template next, I'm slowly figuring out the areas I need to mash differently (tactical ****** mashing!)
There's a few 16th jacks, a section with lots of 16th minijacks, and a 48th roll wall that all require special attention.

lol I did that on Grist, I missed one arrow of the final hand.

But then I FC'd it with less boos and better PA a few runs later so it was okay.

98.95% now. One more... might go for Revolutionary Etude because it's rather slow and probably not bad to ****** mash, but the intro is so boring and long >_<
Anyway having a public thread like this is really good motivation. I'll get one of them sooner or later!

Just for you, I tried mashing... a little less on this run. It worked just fine, I could have mashed even less but I got excited when I comboed the jacks so easily lol

Anyway 99.05%, I'm off to play my token song ^_^
Probably gonna ****** mash an FC on it too, it wouldn't be a happy ending any other way.
