Painting a 7'x3.66' spacepaint mural with a friend of mine. Then this Saturday we're doing a 14'x7.3' painting, should be fun. Didn't get to finish this one today cause it started getting dark, but it's coming along, will finish tomorrow.

Call me jaded but these types of pictures feel too methodical to me. I've seen the space-painting dudes in almost every major city in America (in fact, I just saw one the other day here in NYC near the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall station), and it's pretty much a combination of the same techniques producing the same types of pictures (pumped out in a matter of minutes, at that). They're cool, but too homogeneous.

There is this guy at Wildwood, NJ that does this kind of stuff every time I go there, its pretty cool watching it being done. He does smaller portraits mainly for shows but he knocks them out in like 5 mins or so.

Yeah we got this done in about an hour and a half or so. Small ones usually take 5-10 minutes.
Sure these things are somewhat limited in the amount of things that you can paint, but they're SOOOOOOO much fun to do. Also, this one is practice for the big one on Saturday. We're throwing an event that day at a park, renting out those air jumper things, barbeque, drinks, and going to be teaching the crowds how to do these, so we can have one massive 14 foot collaboration. Once it's done we're going to take it apart and auction off each piece, all proceeds go to new art supplies for kids at the local elementary school.

That dude needs to seriously change up his water techniques cause it's bad =/
I used to do these in SF, and at flea markets. Good way to make a quick buck for sure. Cost to make each painting is about $1.25, sell it for 10 bucks every 7-10 minutes.

I don't like the trees, other than that, your constant expanding library of graphical expertise is astounding.

The trees look dope in person, I'll try and get some good shots of them.
