Well the version we are running is running on software that does require a license, and it's not playing nice at the moment. From what I understand the fla that we have for the chat doesn't want to connect to the server. The license issue is simply # of connections, that we will increase once we have it working.

Let me guess you're about to throw that query into Google and act all enlightened.

iirc, aren't you guys are using Smartfox (I was in MP a lot, lol)? I remember SF being free but it limited your connection amount until you paid for the full version.

You know if you're actually interested in helping out you sure have a strange way of going about it.

I hardly see how the appearance of anyone's head has anything to do with this thread. Maybe everyone should just calm down a little before the **** hits the fan.

Calling me a cube is the best you can do? That doesn't even make sense (if you're referring to the obvious Rubik's Cube portion of my name, that is just stupid. If you're literally referring to my head, you're visually retarded). Try again when you actually garner some real programming skills. |

In one part I have to agree with Rubix... why exactly does VC require a license? I mean, did Jasonkey just buy out a flash to run the backend then? Lol. Someone just ****ing remake a whole new VC. The current one was bugged as fuq anyway.
Where's BLasT. ****in guy can program a new VC that's more efficient and user friendly in like 10 mins.

Oops too late. I think both rubix and ap have valid points. It would be nice if Rubix got some access so he could either confirm/deny his propositions.

I just think it would be nice if we could put the e-peens away for just a bit so we can fix the site up.

Bickering didn't build empires guys. Give Rubix some access to change things, particularly Video Chat. Since he's so hard-up on it running and, by his word, knows how to fix it, let him take a whack at it. No harm in doing so. Arguing like this is useless.

Most of the programmers that have worked on this site have absolutely no idea what the hell they're doing. If they did, the backend wouldn't be such a mess in the first place. I'll put the e-peen away when I see some real skill being leveraged on the backend. |

Why don't the people who are all on and knowledgeable in programing all look at it now?

Rubix does make a point.
I mean I am not deeming the people who have worked on this site incompetent but there definitely could have been better designs on a lot of things had there been a real determination and enthusiasm to do so by the prior staff of FFR. I just hope this new breed of staff coming in brings new ideas, innovations, and improvements to light cause there really is a lot that needs to be re-structured within FFR. Lots of bad code all over the place(and I quote this from various sources working on FFR) and based on that alone lends me a hand in agreeing with Rubix that people didn't know what they were doing in the first place.
