On topic: Did you unwrap the glasses? On the left glass, top slightly to the right, looks like you've used UW map on the material, prolly planar or face, since it seems it's not correctly overlapping.

Then again, that would be the case if you're looking for antiques that are completely flawless. I can't get my bumpmap to appear realistic, I can do normal glasses, as everyone else following the paytuts, but I like this.
It's depth of field, not Field of view, FOV is the degree at which your camera is able to view, which can be used to create real world "lens bend", While depth of field focuses the so called "lens" onto a specific depth.

Also, the glass on the right isn't unfinished or anything, it's just not the main piece, so I didn't want attention on it.

Thanks everyone!

Blame tiredness, if that's a word.

Didn't answer my unwrap/UWmap question though xD

Its not wrapped, its a procedural bump texture, procedurals are much better quality than using a standard image as your map. Displacement works -really- well too, and I kinda wish I would have gone with displacement mapping, it probably would have been easier now that I think about it.

Oh, I haven't tried that, yet....

How long did it take to render/make this?

I FINALLY got a new graphics card 3 days ago, 1gb card, before I had been using a 128mb =/ So this render took about 15 minutes, normally it would take me about 70 minutes. The glasses are extremely simple to make, those took about 5 minutes each as far as modeling goes, but texturing/lighting took upwards of 4 hours.

My motherboard is old, I'm going to have to upgrade really soon, I don't even have PCI express slots. However AGP works fine for me since its a quadcore.

Like I mentioned in your computer thread rubix, my pc is an old render station, it was made in 2003, and is a quad xeon, 8.8ghz 6gb RAM machine, which for anything made in 2003, was ridiculous.
