Absurd
|
Freshman and Sophomore year of highschool i was in to the whole poker thing. but i was just a little above average so one day at my friends house, i decided that i would start cheating our other friends out of their money and he thought it was a great idea. so i spent some time learning false shuffling and stacking the deck and other things.
it started with just dollar hands at the lunch table. nobody else knew i was cheating except my best friend and id usually give him the winning hands and when lunch was over and we went to our next class together, we would split the cash. also spent free days in choir playing dollar hands and cheating other people out of their money. ohhh the laughs me and my best friend shared as these morons were getting pissed off from losing and they had no idea ![]() then we started having small tourny at ppls house. nothing big at all, i was dirt poor back then so buy ins were only 10 bucks but money is money. anyways, when it was my turn to shuffle i would give my best friend epic cards and even more epic cards on the 5 community cards. me and him would almost always be the last two left, then we decide who wants to win because it didnt matter. the other person would lose, and when everyone else went home or fell asleep, the winner would give back the other guy his buy in, give himself back his buy in, then we would split the winnings. i really liked cheating >:] on rare occasions so ppl did suspect, i would literally give my friend pocket kings, and throw one king on the flop, and then one on the river. ppl would go ape **** over it and me and him would just have this evil laugh MUHAHAHAHA

I play poker. I've lost some pretty bad hands.
I flopped an ace high flush a few weeks ago. I was raised, so I put in a large re-raise and buddy goes all in. I call, obviously, he has a lower flush...no way he can win since there aren't any pairs on the board for a full house, so unless he rolls a straight flush, needing a 6 and a 7 of clubs on the turn and river, I take the pot. Turn, 7 of clubs. River, the 6. Straight Flush. **** D: That just about made me quit poker, though I had another incident awhile back where the flop was 227, and I had 22 in my hand. Same scenario as before - I check, he raises, I reraise and he goes all in. LITTLE DID I KNOW he had 77, which wasn't a big deal against quads anyway, until the other 7 comes down on the river. **** D: No bad beat either XD As a point of interest, I've never even gotten a straight flush in a real match before. The only time I did was when I folded the 10 needed to complete the royal flush on the table.

Wow, I thought my friends and I had some ridiculous poker hands, but Reach's stories and other people's are making me reconsider. I had an ace-high straight once and I think only the queen was the wrong suit for a royal.
Anyway, so I was playing Uno one time. Someone made me draw 4 and I was like wow **** you this game ****ing sucks but I kept playing. The same thing happened five or six more times. Then someone won. It was magical. |

I play Spades and Euchre pretty regularly with my friends.
Also, I play Gang of Four and Tichu with them. Freecell for solitaire. I know how to play hearts, but I don't know why anyone would play that with friends when they could play Spades or Euchre. I'm undefeated in the past ten years in ERS when slapping on doubles, runs, sandwiches, and add-up-to-ten. Speed is also fun, but BS is a terrible, terrible game. Mauritius's Asshole (the aforementioned Asshole or Presidents and Assholes) is also really fun. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

heh, Euchre.
This happened a long time ago, so I forgot the exact details of it. Once in a game that I was playing online, my team lead 9-8. I called spades trump with 9S, TS AS, AH, and ?C. A club was led, which my partner took with the ace. At this point, he had 1 card of each suit in his hand. He then led the worst card possible -- the last club (it was the 9). Seriously? My opponent on my right threw out a diamond, and not wanting my opponent on my left to overtrump me, I threw out my AH. And a huge WTF when my partner wins the second trick with a non-trump 9. We took 3 tricks and won. Although my partner's lead on the second trick was absolutely horrible, hindsight shows that the club lead was the only lead which would've prevented me from getting set. My opponent on the right actually had KS, JC, and JS along with his diamond and club. Opponent on my left had the AD, with the club and 3 other red cards. Also, I once attempted to go alone on 4 consecutive hands. They were all legit calls. One was 5 trump without the right. One was 4 trump and a non-trump non-ace. One was 3 trump, two non-trump of the same suit with an ace and something lower than a king. One was bowers only with the 3 non-trump aces. I failed to make any one of them. I also play spades. Once had a hand strong enough to make a bid of 11. Last edited by sc979; 09-10-2009 at 06:01 PM.. |

You called spades trump with zero guaranteed tricks? I could only see that as wise if you were the dealer and everyone passed on the up card and the free call.

Actually, I think I may have been the dealer with the up card being a spade, and I threw a diamond. In that case, my opponent on the right should've ordered me, but he didn't. STD was in play and my hand wasn't suited to defend anything else. Allowing my opponents to make a call and take 3 or 4 would've tied it at 9-9 and give them the dealer and IIRC, it's ~75% for the dealer's team to win a 9-9 game.

I won some pretty big hands today, though one really bad loss. Almost makes me want to quit poker again
![]() Called pre flop with 22, and as any player would be, was ecstatic on the flop 725. All off suit, difficult straight, awesome set, I bet the pot, get called by one guy. Turn card is a 7. Full house. Big bet again, I get called. River card, a 2. 2222, quad 2s. I win, of course right? Raise all in, buddy calls, has 7777, quad 7s. D:

I got back from Morongo Casino and Resort a couple weeks ago and came up with a net gain of $1,100. Biggest win came at one blackjack table where I played a three hand, $50 a hand. I got double downed a 10, split threes, double downed one of the splits, and got 20 on the other, and the dealer ended up busting. Then played a little three card poker, Ultimate Texas Hold em, and some $2/$5 no limit hold em. I scoop a dooped.

Last night I entered this poker tourney. I won some small pots here and there but something awesome happened when I sat down at this table. There is a bounty at the tourney which is a DJ from out local radio station.
Anyway it was between this one guy and the DJ. The flop was 2 5 6 of Diamonds. The DJ goes all in and the other guy calls. The guy had 3 10 of diamonds and the DJ had A K of diamonds. The turn was a 7 of diamonds. There was only one card in the deck and that was the 4 of diamonds. Sure enough the river was a 4 of diamonds. But none of us realized this until this lady freaked and said "OH MY GOD A STRAIGHT FLUSH!!!!!" The DJ freaked and the guy looked like he was about to have a heart attack. Good times |

That's hilarious rsr
oh yeah i got a poker story I was playing in a hold'em tourney, and the board flopped K-K-K. I was the last one to bet, and I had some garbage hand (something like 5-9 offsuit). I bet around $500 (pot was $100). Everyone folded. We all agreed to see what the turn card would've been like. Turn card was a K. ![]() |

I will ruin your **** so hard at that game. I will literally shove my skills so far up your ass your balls will hang out of your mouth. This was maybe all I played for three years straight a while back and I made fags cry. I had enough criers to boil a solid pound of pasta with their tears.
I just thought you should know. |
