Advantage or not, you're still being incredibly egotistical. Not everyone has perfect pitch, but really, in situations like this, you don't need to have perfect pitch to do well. In fact, in certain situations, having perfect pitch can impede your performance. Don't be surprised if they throw **** like that in there.

And please, it takes a lot less time to figure out what the chords are than you think it does. It's definitely the simplest part of those questions.

I may not have absolutely perfect pitch, but that's only because I have it in the sense that I hear everything as I would hear it in a Bb transposition. But then I'd just like to thank the AP exam for giving the starting note, since I'm amazing at figuring out intervals.

Also, I'm not doing as bad as I thought I did, and I don't have any reason to worry about the dictation anymore. I just have to not doubt my answers (everything I got wrong on my practice exam had the right answer originally, but I doubted myself, so I've gotta stop doing that) and work on doing the other dictations in a set time limit.
