Not many earthquakes lately.

This morning when I walked into my first period class, everyone was saying, "Did you hear there was an earthquake?" I really had no idea, I was most likely asleep anyway. There were a few people who claimed to have felt it, but the majority of the class didn't even know. Interesting to hear about an earthquake in Illinois though. I honestly thought those only happened on the west coast around California.. (Well, and other countries, too).

But Californian buildings are retrofitted for earthquakes so the shock is not as great. An earthquake to Illinois is like a tornado or even a hurricane to California.

So apparently some people felt this even here in Ontario.
I slept through it. It was at 5 AM AFAIK. I am so disappointed. I've never experienced an earthquake. I hope there's one while I'm in Japan.

I live in the southern part of the Milwaukee area and I slept through whole thing unfortunatly. After hearing about it the next day I was like why didn't this wake me up. I'm not that heavy of a sleeper.

I didn't feel a damned thing. :/ Neither did the other guy from my neighborhood that goes to my school that I was talking to. Chaz, I don't know how you guys felt it up in WI if I'm living in suburban Chicago (St. Charles) and I couldn't feel it... Nothing was shifted around in my room, either, and I've got a lot of precariously balanced stuff up here.
