I beleive that God is the one that feeds you, takes care of you, and puts a roof over your head, and she's in the other room watching T.V.

In my belief, not opinion, there is a God. He does do all that stuff. I'm not stheist because there are some things that simply can't be explained scientifically.

To answer the burrito question, God has no physical form so he can't burn himself while eating the burrito. Unless it was Jesus who ate the burrito, he was God incarnate. Jesus can't handle super hot things, he is human after all. He can heal himself up afterword if he does. It's a bit of a paradox...now I feel like a moron.

Back to God. I would like to quote futurama. "Interfere too much and they'll rely on you for all their problems. Interfere too little and hey won't believe in you. Do it just right and they won't knkow if you did anything at all." THAT is what I believe. There's a God, but he doesn't do anything in person. He has us do it for him. That way we don't know what the hell's happening. Ok, I'm not making sense anymore, goodnight.

Really, there is no point in asking this question.
We will know if this 'God' or 'Goddess' or the plural forms of those exist when we die.
Quick solution: if you want to know, go kill yourself. O_o

I agree with mastermark. There is no argument.

There is absolutely no way to prove that God does exist.
There is absolutely no way to prove that God doesn't exist.

It is 100% faith, and I think that's the way it's meant to be.

That is, unless you're considering the bible, which was translated from language to language and hand written down. Hell, even passages have even been removed from the bible by man.

Heh. I saw that episode... I noticed that at the end god quoted himself from earlier on in the episode. I couldn't figure out why he said that until my second time watching that episode. By telling bender, "Interfere too much and they'll rely on you for all their problems. Interfere too little and hey won't believe in you. Do it just right and they won't knkow if you did anything at all." Bender relized that god wasn't going to help the monks, so Bender helped them. So it really was god that helped the monks.

If there is a god I think thats how he works.

Religion controls the masses.

The Bible was written by various people.

I'm agnostic.

The Bible does have some of Jesus' quotes and stuff. But not once does it say he ever actually wrote in it. It was written by other people, and re-written by other people, so if there is so many different peoeple, there are different opinions and ideas. Thats why the Bible sometimes contradicts its self. But there is a god. Why else would we be here? Science has explained a lot, but not all. Religion in general is all about Faith. Thats why its called the faith. Some people need hard evidence that they can see and feel, while others just make the decesions themselves on there instincts. Its all about choice, either if you choose to belive in god or not, its all up to you. I for one do

God is real... If you think I'm crazy... Just wait untill you die

Beleive in the True God and get baptized = Eternal life in Heaven.
Do neither of those = Eternal suffering in Hell.

End of discussion..

eh, no.

Beleive in God all you want, but if you don't follow His word, you don't get Eternal life In Heaven. Plus, like a bunch of people said, this argument is useless. There is no proof for either arguement.

I have thoughts about all of this stuff. Theories:
God does not exist. What we consider to be a soul is actually a talking brain with bones and flesh. There is no heaven, we blankout forever. What we see just before death is an illusion.

God does exist. When people have visions of going towards the light, it is a vision of themself going to heaven. Either way, you can't prove he does or doesn't exist.

I hope that he exists because I want to have life after death. I think we all find it hard to part with loved ones. And I hope I get to see them again after death.

Sigh.... I could spend years on this topic, but to keep things short, let me give a few suggestions.

I bet a lot of you have seen one of these plain, but fairly upkept buildings called the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

If you are truely searching for truth, and you have the motivation, I would check that place out at least once. If you don't feel right walking in and sitting in for a while to get some questions answered, then go at the very end when things seem to have adjourned. That is usually around Noon or 3PM. You can ask around and you will find that at least 2 people will be WAY more than happy to either sit down with you right then, or schedule a better time where you are more open. They will even make a house call, and they will be happy to do it.

If you want straight answers, straight from the bible, they will give them to you. Use your own bible also, so that you can see that the translation that they use isn't a faulty translation. They will use that bible MANY times using scripture after scripture. They wont want you to take their word for it. They want you to see it for yourself.

If you seek the answers, and you REALLY want the truth, you will do this. I guarantee, that if you are truely looking for God, you will not be disappointed. That is a promise.

Jehovah's Witnesses make it their work to preach to everyone, because it is a decree from Christ (yes it is in the bible) to go out and make disciples of those in the world, and they take enjoyment in doing it.

I don't think they were completely run out SotN. There are Jehovah's Witnesses in 235 countries around the world, including countries such as Russia, Cuba, Columbia, and even many of the countries of Africa. We consider it a divinely ordained work, so we don't stop. We feel that biblical truth should be know to everyone.

nope they aren't real... i don't feel like arguing about this just stating my opinion... Plus I call BS on adam and eve and that stuff. I mean there is so much crap that people follow just cause they are told it or they want hope for something better. Adam and Eve were the first beings ever on the earth? There is SO much scientific evidence that supports and basically proves evolution but you guys don't want to listen and lend a blind eye.

If science ever found a way to prove everything wasn't real... religion would find some way around it. No point in arguing.

Yes, I believe in God very strongly...but one thing I do NOT believe in are people like this who say that if one doesn't accept Christ and get baptized, they are doomed to eternal suffering in hell. Who are you to say that?

I firmly believe that if one lives his/her life to the best of his/her ability, then God will safe a place in Heaven for that person, Christian or no. My grandfather is a staunch agnostic....but I firmly believe he will go to Heaven because of the way he has lived his life. I don't mean to belittle, but I think it wrong to say who will enter heaven and who will not. God decides things of this matter, not people like you and me.

I also don't believe in forcing my opinons of Him on others....my faith is my own, it is a feeling I have....believing in God gives me peace, and I denied it for a long time because I could not find proof. My feelings are all the proof I need. I am convinced, but I don't think it my job to convince anyone else. If others have peace in their lives and they do not think that God needs to be in the equation, more power to them.
