No. Because the truth is probably depressing. I don't feel that we are here to serve any purpose other than to exist. How can I feel that way? Because we as a species don't feel that anything else is here for a reason other than convenience. Very closed-minded. So, try a different approach. What exactly would be the point of our existance. If there was an omnipotent God, he, by definition, does not need our help. Sad, but realistic. So, I say enjoy life. You only have so much of it.

There was an essay like this at my college.... Simply put: "why not?".

Why? Sch'good.

I really don't know why. I'll tell you this tho, I do things, because i simply want to get something out of life. I don't wanna sit around doing nothing forever, so i do things. Not that its really the answer you're looking for, but that's all i can base it on.

We ask why way too often.

The answer is always an elaborated "just because".

We ask why we were created,

We ask what the point of life is.

I know why,

And i know what the point is.

The reason we're here has the same answer as the reason of what the point is.

We're here because

Without us, there is no point.

We're here,

Not to change things for the better,

But to simply change them.

Over and over again.

Why?

Just because.

God made us to keep him company. It's that simple.

I think we are just here to live life and experence many things. Possibly we could be an experiment from a distant planet, sent here to be studied....

You are here to reproduce. It's sickening, but it's what I believe.

Reproduction is just to ensure survival in the species, the question behind that is why are we trying to ensure our survival on this planet?

The problem is you can keep asking why, over and over again. Kind of like when your talking to a little kid and they keep repeating themselves, "why? why? why?" The reason it gets so frustrating to answer is because 1. you don't know exactly why, and 2. because they can ask for an eternity.

Personally, I think its better off unanswered.

nah. those who ask are only looking for a bigger view on things, and those who answer are educators, and after the next question they're asked, they ask along with them until they find an answer.

I think we're here to reproduce, also. Or were. We've evolved to care more about society than reproduction.

Why we want to reproduce and populate the planet, I don't know. I haven't figured that out. But really, we're here to have sex. Orgy time!

Yes...I couldn't agree more. Do what you want and leave the rest to providence. (I once heard that from someone very dear to me, and it stuck.)

I don't think we can comprehend why for our existance, just like we can't comprehend infinity, our minds are not capable of understanding our existance.

i can comprehend infinity.

take the number 1, and stretch it out by adding sixty zeros a second, every second, until you die.

that's infinity. when you're dead, you can't comprehend anything, much less the infinite, so stop adding zeros, ya weirdo. as far as you know, it's still going.
