Ok, this may sound silly but here it goes. What if now is the only time we were ever actually alive. We were born today. What if all our memories were just implanted into our heads, and we were born today, all diffrent. What if tomorrow we will be a diffrent form, whole new world, but we wont know it, and we laugh at everyone that brings it up?
Could it be?

If we will be a different form tomorrow and won't remember any of this, then it doesn't matter; there's no use discussing something that we won't recall and that we can't affect.

actually i've thought about that.
you can never really be sure that you exist. or, you can, but you can't be sure when. the "i think, therefore i am" statement does seem to say that if you're thinking, in some point in time, you're alive to think. it doesnt say that what you're thinking about arent just memories you're reliving. so, i could be 80 years old on my deathbed, in the year 2064 or so, remembering myself doing this. but yeah. when i hit 80, i'll let you guys know if i wake up from a flashback or go into another loop.. if i'm self-aware about it. =P *hint hint - reasons for deja vu...* |

Well that would certainly be possible if we are all interconnected, but its a stretch. We could be living now, and creating memories, which are stored. Then while we sleep, maybe "we" are moved to a different body. We then live as that person for the day, make.............NM after thinking of this i deem it not really possible for that stuff^^^ Hmm...

alva, what i'm saying is what if we then have the memories of that person/creature?
Maybe tomarrow we will remember this, and then is the only real time that we have that body? the internet is just something that is new to us. This post wont have been happened tomarrow? What if...

What if's suck. If you were only this person for a day, every day, you'd still be the same person and as would everyone else. The body makes the mind, so no matter who is in a body it's always that same person. If all our memories are created instantly daily you get stuck in a few jams. What about if I don't go to sleep? What if I wrote down some information? Memories can be altered, but facts cannot. Either way, whether it is like that or not, we still live in the exact same manner as always and it does not matter one wit. These kind of threads annoy me, sorry, and so do stupid siggies.

You read my mind, hydro. I've often thought that maybe only the present ever happened... everything in the past just got implanted into our brains and never happened. We make the choices, but nothing but the same instant of time exists, over and over just being updated...

It doesn't matter. If we all just try and contribute to society, we'd find this possibility is irrelevant. (and impossible)
