Jello != gelatine.

Gelatin(e) is the ingredient in jello that makes it jiggle. Gelatine is also used to make marshmallows, many chewy candies such as Starburst, Junior Mints, Skittles, etc etc... they use it to make things chewy, give it a smooth consistency, or make it jiggle.

Basically it's a byproduct from the meat industry. Most anything they can't use for meat off the cow gets crushed up to make gelatine. Horrible stuff. Considering you can do the same things with plants, I'd never eat anything made of gelatine.

You know those Hunt's Snack Pack jello pack things? Or basically any little jello cups that advertise themselves as not having to be refrigerated. Those things don't have gelatine! Yeah!! Good news for me, since I do like jello. It's also healthier because it doesn't expire as easily and doesn't need to be refrigerated...

Eh enough of my rambling. I'm hungry. Sour Patch Kids are the bomb.

I posted my last hing at around 5. It's 11. No qoutations yet? I know I'm a living ego, but for the love of god, was it that bad? Was it? Just kidding. Now that I know what I know about jell-o, I am never having chewy sweets again. Thanks for the disgusting but true life changer.

If you actually want to stay away from gelatine you should just check the package of anything soft, spongy, smooth, hard, jiggly, or... just about anything. o.O

If you see something about carageenan you're probably fine. That's a plant thing.

Okay, I'll respond to you The Q. It wasn't exactly a weak jaw that did it, nor brain size. It was brain complexity and luck. For many millienia humans did what all animals do. Because our natural predators died out, we grew like the plague. The same thing is happening recently with deer in suburban forests and cats in cities. We are omnivores (more adaptable), so that's what we did.

Now people have a choice to be herbivores. However, meat is considered a luxury. That's the important part. Meat is harder to get and more expensive because it is a luxury food in my cultures now. Similar to salt for the Romans (such a luxury that they paid soldiers with it). All cultures have luxury foods and people usually don't care to remove those, whether or not anyone thinks they should. Although beef and steak (the main luxury choice in America) have become more widespread due to a strong economy and lots of money, it is still something special you don't eat every single meal of every single day (unless you are one of those fastfood fatties).

One cause of our brain's expasion is that before (a looong time ago) "humans" only ate fruits and nuts. Since thier bodies where lacking of proteins contained in meat, they didn't evolve very fast. But at one moment, "someone" (i think he was homo-erectus) invented what would be a primitiv knife, and they used that knife to cut out meat from animals. Their brain then got bigger, and stronger.

Actually, that's not exactly true. The hatchet blade was invented first. They invented it once and didn't change it for 10,000 years. Then a new species of humans invented the haft and attached the blade to it. They didn't change all that much for a couple thousand years either. And then we slowly started developing things faster and faster. Eventually we actually got to this point after like 12 species.

I never specified what kind of technology or when it was developed. I know what is was and when it was, but it's not the point. The point is that it was developed.
