Default Invisibility

Invisibility will most likely be available in the future for military reconassiance installed into spy planes or for special forces units such as Army Delta and Navy Seals. I recently read an article that stated that such research is almost completed and being developed by the Japanese. Knowing America though, we have already developed, bought, or stolen it, so who knows if our black bag operations divisions aren't already using it.

Umm... there's a big difference in stealth and invisibility. Invisibility, as in to light, is impossible. unless you're black in the night.

You can't use that agrument because we weren't so close to the threshold of physics knowledge back then. We know now what is and isn't possible. Faster than light isn't possible. Invisibility isn't possible. Time flight isn't possible, curing cancer is. Let's focus our energies on that.

Faster than light is possible, there are certain particles that can go from sublight to faster, and there are particles which are faster than light, so there is the possibility still it CAN happen, it is right now though, beyond the current limits of science.

Did you know they discovered a new form of matter which is found just above absolute zero? That's just mind boggling. brings the total up to six now, which is three more than most people actually know about.

They also discovered, long ago, that electrons can tunnel. Heavier particles do this less often, and means it can go through a wall, or just simply relocate itself and reconstruct at another point. It is highly unlikely, i can't stress this enough, that you would suddenly have all the particles in your body at the same time instantly tunnel to hawaii and reassemble, so much that is almost neglible, but the point is it is possible. What if it happens to smaller animals periodically, and no one just knows about it? What if it happened once, to a rat somewhere? That means it can happen again, right? What if we do it all the time, but only move a small difference so no one ever really noticed it? With so many organisms on this planet something that is impossible becomes more likely to occur, like buying more lotto tickets to increase your probability to win, or like how people would repeatedly kill Mephisto in d2 to get the rarest drops.

It can't be entirely discounted, but since by all means it isn't going to happen in your lifetime to you, or to anyone you know, they decide it isn't possible, except that it is. The cat can't be dead until you look inside the box right? so until you can prove it is it lives in two universes whether it is dead or alive, so it can or can't occur. Since it has been proven it can, albeit minutely, that means this is a universe where it can exist.

Time travel, like in Back to the future, is impossible, because time is not a real force, but a measurement of change. Time is a measurement of other forces from state a to state b. I can never consider it more than that, and i've read a lot that tries to make it out to be more, but it is not real like gravity, it is human invention. (Note: humans did not invent the force of gravity, just the word and definition) . People who read Stephen Hawking might offer up an alternative, such that it is possible, but it isn't even discussing the same idea anymore, so no, it just isn't going to happen.

There is a certain squid, or octupus-- in either case, in the phylum those animals belong to( what is it... i can't remember offhand, my mind is dead..anyways, i'll look it up later) which is able to make itself invisible almost entirely, and recently has become a huge subject of research. I seriously can't remember what the name of it was, but it is the ONLY known organism in the world that can do this. Types of krill can be completely transparent, so I do not see how this is such a huge impossibility, and what about those tetras in everyone's fish tanks? You can see right through them.

You could also manufacture a suit, akin to say, predator, where you have millions of fiber optics that will project what is on the opposite end of you, front to back, back to front, which could give the illusion of invisibility. This would also solve the seeing problem, because you are invisible, but the suit over you is. It is also the type of clothing the chick in Ghost in the Shell wears, more or less. This is all straying offtopic, the point of this was there is a creature in the world that is capable of this ability. This happens all the time in biology, coming across creatures which make the science have to redefine what is possible because it broke the limits.

They have also been trying to manufacture organisms to go through your body and destroy a specific virus, much like your immune system, but since it isn't a WBC, thought goes, it would not be prone to attack from HIV, etc. Biotechnology is frightening, because it is redefining what you can and cannot do.

I think physics is the same way, but i do not have such knowledge on it in particular. Being a bio major in school, I focus more on those issues. There are new discoveries every day, and who knows what the next one will set in motion?

wow spookg.. you're one intelligent goblin

anyway, there are many ways to become invisible, that fiber-optics suit is one of them

I'd say more, but I'm in Italian and I just got caught, lol.. be back in 1 1/2 hours, that's when I have English 1/2 (HAHA)

They would also have to have reverse so that someone could not see you if they are standing behind you... Which i think would be kinda hard to do, having it go both ways...

I'm pretty sure most digital camera's pixels alternate between the primary colors, so only one in three pixels is lit at one time. They are so close together we don't notice. I am sure you could have both collecting and projecting elements close enough together that the illusion could be maintained on all sides.

ahh, the power of science.......... I was watching the learning channel and they had future flying cars too. THAT would be cool. They were talking about the development of a "Air Highway" built specifically for them, good fun!
