Default Re: The Wii is Here.

9th in line at 6 am.

At 8 am was told there were 52 consoles, with around 35-40 of us there at the time. At 9 am they handed out tickets. I went to Toys R Us which just opened to check to see if they had the Wii in. Nope. But I picked up LoZ: TTP. Went to McDonald's for some breakfast, even though a few people had given us donuts earlier. Got to BB again at 9:50 am and waited in line inside the store with our tickets to get the Wii. Left there at 10:30 am with Wii in hand (my brother Ian got one as well).

Did all the crap for the Wii. Played some bowling... 145 and 168. Meh. Tennis was a riot. Ian and I had a long rally that went on for 4-5 minutes before. Baseball was gay. I didn't try Golf or Boxing yet.

Played some Super Monkey Ball. Did a few mini-games. Then my Wiimote kept f'ing up on Monkey Darts. -_- Then I completed the first area of the main game. Followed by another game of Tennis on Wii Sports. Now I'm going to take a nap. XD

Congratulations Bandit.

You'll need to set aside some time for Twilight Princess. I mean like a few hours each time. You'll need all the time you can get.

I'm quite tired and been feeling down on top of it. I don't want to waste the moment when I'm so crappy.

I played a 5v5 match vs Ian in DBZ. Wow. It's so exciting and I didn't even really know the controls. Plus I'm a DBZ fan (don't hurt me). He knew a little more than me as he played our other brother Derek in a number of matches earlier when I took a small, but crappy, nap. Needless to say, he beat me. I enjoyed it, minus the part where he kept making the pointer go all over the place causing the screen to flash here and there telling him to move closer to the screen.

I know I'm going to hate myself later when I find out, but who's Derek? The Mii showed up in my Parade, but I'm not sure who it is.

EDIT: Solution found.

Joe, why didn't you make Wilford B. large? He's rather skinny. Fix that and resend. XD

He sent me his jesus mii.

I sent him the real one.

Sheesh. I get back from 7 hours of Twilight Princess (WHOO BEAT TWO TEMPLES IN SEVEN HOURS ALRIGHT YES.) and I have like 10 messages waiting for me.

Well, I'm close to the end I think. I have 15/20 heart slots and all seven sword skills (the last one is disappointing =/)

Then I'll be going back to Red Steel, which I wasn't able to exchange. Meh.

I keep forgetting to find the damn wolf to get the skills. Then again, I haven't had a sheild since Death Mountain and I've made out fine.

Had the flu the entire weekend, no further progress.

Oh, and on the subject of space issues, I've gotten about 20 messages and 7 Miis from you all so far and that hasn't taken up a single block yet. Still 2,157.

Wilford B. is as fat as he can get. I've got the bar all the way up.

I was going for a "modern Jesus" look. Sorry he's too cool for you =)

fien. It's not mine. It's Spoon's (see the Wii codes thread).

Also, can you all post semi-reviews of the games you got? I need to decide on one other game for Christmas. I'm kinda split between Rayman and Trauma Center, but there will be other games coming out between now and the 25th too...

Squeek, Trauma Center is a ton of fun. It's really easy to use the wiimote for it.

I think it's a lot better than the DS version.

I spent about an hour looking for the fourth monkey in the Forest Temple.

Only to forget the more important prize in the room later... and not being able to return to it without the clawshot...

=/

Wait, you're only through two temples, and you have 15 heart slots and all of the sword skills? I have five heart slots and one sword skill, and I'm on the third temple. Explain please.

I'm so retarded at this game. Anyone want to tell me if it's because I haven't played through any other Zelda games?

I can refer to the past using inferred meanings! Yay!

I'm on the seventh temple. I hate it so far. There is no ground. It's windy. The paths don't have sides. Add those three things up.

I also have the feeling that the item from this temple won't be anything worthwhile; it'll just be an upgrade to what I have.

Bandit, I'll give you my Mii (female) if I can get the router up and working. :P

Zelda is awesome so far, even though I'm barely into it. I loved OoT to death, so this is a real treat to me. I was so happy when Link played Epona's Song on the grass.

Anyone hear anything about Downhill Jam? It seems like no one here has it, but I figured it'd be worth checking out because all of the Tony Hawk series have been quite good.
